Wouldn’t waste your time. The location is nice and we fancied a gyros and with it having a respectable rating of Tripadvisor we headed here. First we order two drinks and only received one. Then we sat for 35 minutes asking everyone that walked past to take our order to which they all responded one minute but then never returned. They were busy which I understand but what was annoying was when we finally got our order taken the man took our beer (the one drink we received) he then came back and took the order next to us that had been there maybe five minutes. We waited another 5 minutes for the second drink to come as we had ordered it again. It never came and the beer not replaced even though we let them know what happened. The table next to us had received their drinks but still no sign of ours. At this point we gave up telling one of the men we were going at which point he did say he would replace the taken beer if we stayed but we had simply had enough after 40 minutes of the shambles that it was there. It seemed very hit and miss all over with a table one side of us having an order taken and drinks received less than 10 mins after sitting and the people the other side waiting 5-10 mins to get cutlery to eat their food with them also being told ‘they’ll...
Read morePepe's Soulaki is a popular eatery as it close to the ferry entrance, the food is relatively inexpensive, and attracts ppl mainly in their 20's. The restaurant is completely covered from the hot Greek sun, but it's very airy with a large cabana type feel. Traditional music plays in the background and at 1pm on a Monday, the majority of the tables are full.
The menu consists mainly of wrapped yeros at 4 to 5 euros, or open plates of meat, salad and chips at about 15 euros. Chickens can be seen rotating in the kitchen (21 euro whole chicken). We ordered pita wrapped chicken and pork yeros for three ppl, plus a plate of chips and a pottle of tzatziki. Our order was bought out within 10 mins. The service is friendly. Note they also do taleaway, just head directly into the kitchen/payment area.
Unfortunately the food is the weak link of the experience. Our three person independent consenus is 2.5 to 3 stars out of 5. Even with extra dollops of tzaziki into the yeros, it still felt dry and the taste is just average. The plate of chips had obviously been sitting out for some time after being cooked, as their temperature was tepid and texture not normal (they taste better than...
Read moreMisogynistic Perverts! Do not come here. When me and my partner were eating our food a group of women came in dressed in beach wear and the staff (all male) were pointing, laughing and behaving extremely inappropriately around them. We then witnessed one of the men take a photo of one of the women from behind without her knowledge and then showed this photo to his male colleague. They were both laughing and gesturing towards them. We then told these women that this had happened and she was very upset and angry and approached him. The woman then saw him delete this photo which was extremely inappropriate and would constitute sexual harassment at a minimum. We were shocked and appalled that this happened. The women thanked us and the restaurant should be ashamed this is unlawful behaviour and is totally unacceptable and aggressive towards women. Give them some respect you should be ashamed of yourself, women do not deserve to be treated this way.
The food is cheap and not worth your visit and the staff and service is...
