Great food, great service and some gorgeous rooftop views!

Found this place via Google reviews and we were not disappointed. A little walk away from the main strip is this gem. Gorgeous rooftop terrace with views of Skiathos port and town. On our way in we were greeted by a very friendly chef who brightened up the room and guided us to the rooftop.

We are both seafood lovers so apologies if this review isn't helpful for those that aren't. However, I will say the service, atmosphere and food was top notch. I love a place that gives detailed recommendations and our lively waiter helped us select our starter of king prawns. From someone who has grown up on the coast I am pretty harsh with my prawn reviews but these were so flavourful while tasting really fresh and we were not disappointed. Following this we both had seafood risotto for mains which again was super tasty. I was disappointed I couldn't have wine (pregnant) because the list looked extensive and again overheard the waiters giving some great recs to the couple near us. There was a great selection on the menu of vegetarian options, meat and seafood.

Everyone was very professional the whole time we were there, the view is stunning and the food even more so. I would say for anyone with access issues there is stairs but it looked like there is a lift so worth checking. We were also lucky to get a seat with no wait time so would highly recommend booking especially if you want to reserve a spot on the edge so you can take pictures of the view.

I would say I was amazed by the location of the place which was in the heart of Skiathos centre. Outside seating on the rooftop or a balcony with the wonderful views on the streets and sea!

Food - I wish I had a better experience with the food. I don't know if it was the choosing of particular dishes or just my taste/expectation, but I would say it was an okay dinner. We had the special of the day, which was at that time risotto with zucchini cream and prosciutto. The dish was really strong and risotto was not al dente or soft, more undercooked at some parts; prosciutto tasted more like bacon than prosciutto. Maybe it was the mixture of flavors that created that kind of taste. For appetizers we had just bread with different spreads, and I didn't like the tzatziki, maybe because it was different in texture and taste than all the other tzatziki's I've tried before coming to Scala. Overall, an nice dinner with a nice view, well prepared drinks and friendly staff.

Only reason I gave service 4/5 is because our waiter gave us a wrong order so we had to wait additional 20 minutes for food, but still we got some on the house drinks, which was really kind and nice from them!

Maybe the smallest portion of a main (that is not cheap) I had in my entire life. The staff is really kind and so helpful..and I m so sorry to write this review. But it's unacceptable to be looking for another restaurant to eat right after you finished.

Reply to your answers : I m sorry, what you are saying it's really not fair. It is not because that I have an allergy that I don't deserve to have same quantity of others. It is really disrespectful from you to say that I am full of allergies.. And yet is not true I have been informed about grams of the fish. All I have asked was if it was a generous portion and in case if wasn't I was willing to order more course since beginning. The reply was that was generous. I didn't mention this in the first place because I really loved the way and the kindness of the staff. It is a pity that an honest criticism cannot be accepted.
