BUCA BEACH LOUNGE BAR — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

First time at SUP for me. Before coming to Alykes I was thinking to rent MTB, but once I saw SUP there, I asked where I can rent it, and it is in BUCA BAR. The rental experience , the first lesson is really useful , and Costa (owner and instructor) is taking care about you and explains the important concepts for future safe SUP usage. It is clearly seen that Costa is professional who loves and enjoys SUP, and this creates perfect atmosphere, we discuss , we paddle, we enjoy. I took also a SUNRISE paddle tour with Costa and several other motivated to wake up early in the morning people, and it was definitively a unique experience, with beautiful sea, sunrise, turtles, nice people around and pleasant family atmosphere. Now about coffee! I have discovered it a bit late (because at the time of my visit bar was not yet fully open) but coffee in BUCA bar is perfect. What a fabulous activity day… SUP Tour started at 8am and dragging our teenage kids out of bed was well worth it. Family of 4 and 2 of us only did SUP once before but there was no experience needed (though you can pre book tutoring in advance). Costa the guide and owner of the Buca Beach Bar where we set off was very patient and gave us a quick guide and corrected us through the first part of the tour. Though we all quickly caught on. The Tour itself covers some secluded beaches and small caves that you’d never find. Well worth the experience. The return leg was a tad demanding on our teenagers but they bravely soldiered on and once again Costa’s patience shone though and help everyone back. We then spent the rest of the day at the Buca Beach bar and it was great. Lunch was fantastic including attention to detail in every way from the salad and even the french fries. We’ve just spent a week in Alykes and 5 of our 8 lazy hazy days on the beach were spent on the Bucca sun loungers. Kev who runs the beach area there so efficiently, quite honestly enhanced our holiday. We reserved beds right by the sea every day, the service he provided bringing drinks, clearing glasses was so efficient. He knew after one or two orders what drinks we liked and even the small details like remembering I liked one cube of ice in my rose wine at lunch really enhanced the experience. They even sell Peroni! Happy hubby. The food we ate was always delicious and the milkshakes are the best ever- total addiction to coconut cream shakes.
