Just had a lovely week here with family. Great location, close to restaurants and shops ( 10 mins walk) |And a short distance to the beach ( 10 min walk)||We ate at some lovely restaurants and would recommend Asteria Taverna and Fishalida, both on the beach so a lovely breeze whilst enjoying your evening meal ( it was extremely hot whilst we were there).||The hotel is lovely and clean. Staff are great, very hard working and accommodating.|Great pool ( goes from shallow to very deep) and a kids pool and Jacuzzi.|We only saw entertainment on one night so I would advise that they alter that if they want people to stay and drink.||There’s a lovely play area for children in the garden.||We stayed B&B because wanted to go out n about at night. |Breakfast was plentiful. Pastries, fruit, yoghurt, bacon ( kind off 🤣) Eggs , etc etc.|Tea/coffee/juice. |Available from 7.30-10.30, good for those that like a lie in🤣||We ate an evening meal at the hotel a couple of nights. It was ok, nothing spectacular, but ok.||The rooms are clean and bright. Storage is a bit limited but manageable. We stayed in Chic rooms.|There are some toiletries available in the bathroom which was a nice surprise.|Hairdryer was ok. I took my own because of some comments on here, but the one in the bathroom was fine.|Lovely clean towels every other day.||Didn’t have to pay for the safe which was a nice surprise.|However, it was €10 a night room tax which added an extra € 140 to our holiday cost.|Pool towels are €5 each - non refundable.||I just wanted to mention a couple of things for those of you with mobility problems.|I struggle a bit as I need 2 knee replacements so found the ‘crazy paving’ everywhere a bit of an issue.|The jacuzzi was a struggle as the steps into it are very deep. I had to have help to get out- bit embarrassing.|The pool has ladder steps that are ok, not as deep at the jacuzzi, so manageable. |There is a lift in the main building so no problems with the stairs.|The hotel is up a little bit of a hill from the main strip and another incline to the reception. |Accessible toilets around the pool are a bit of a jaunt into the main building.|There are steps into the restaurant where brekky is served from the patio where it’s nice to sit and eat. There is a ramp into the restaurant however.||We would definitely stay at this hotel again.||Just wanted to advise that if you book the turtle island trip… expect to be on the coach about an hour picking people up before you arrive at the boat. And .. you will be the last to be dropped off too. They didn’t tell us that!!!booked it through the Jet2 rep.|And… transfer coaches didn’t have air con - just air vents. Very uncomfortable...
Read moreHotel was nice and clean, however the smell in the mornings can be very bad. I’m not sure where it comes from but can be an unpleasant lingering smell in the atmosphere especially because of the heat it can make it worse. The pool was very nice, very big pool, which was cleaned every morning, and also a wide range of sun beds are available at no extra cost. The room was nice and modern, very big room have lots of space to put your clothes and balcony with washing line and chairs and tables for enjoying some drinks. However, the bedsheets had not been changed once during the 5 days that I had been there, of course it is hot so maybe once during the course of the stay the bedsheets could have been changed but it does not change the fact that the room is clean and spacious. Breakfast was nice, variety of different foods, and hot foods. Dessert was very nice every morning would be something different and traditional to try which is very nice. However, the staff is nice BUT if you have a child or if you are someone who is on a strict diet and cannot eat until later, the staff are very rude and disrespectful. My friend was on a strict diet in which she was only allowed to eat after 10, breakfast initially finishes at 10 so, we had tried to take her a sandwich for takeaway so she could have something to eat for later on. The staff were very rude and disrespectful when they had seen this, and had told us to put the sandwich back on the table, even though the breakfast was included in the price she had payed, If you cannot eat within the time that their breakfast is open then you cannot take something for later even if you do not eat anything in the morning. The lady there was very disrespectful and had seemed to form some sort of grudge or animosity towards us. The next morning we were told to move to another table in the back corner, however when we refused she had gotten very angry and decided to call her manager. She had been talking to her manager for a while, when we decided to go to them to discuss this her manager had stated that there was no problem and that we could sit there. The rest of the staff were very nice however be careful because if you do not comply how they want you to, they will get very disrespectful and unwelcoming. Also to add to the breakfast, water dispenser was coming out yellowish, not sure but I’m sure that the colour of water should not be yellow.
Overall, nice hotel and great atmosphere, but if you are on a strict diet or have a small child who cannot eat until later, I would recommend to just not reserve the hotel with breakfast included as they will be very disrespectful and not understanding...
Read moreJust home from a week away at the hotel. |We were told we had been upgraded on arrival due to it being a trip for our wedding Anniversary, ( hubby had emailed the hotel) and in our room was a bottle of wine & lovely card, very nice of them. |Our room was clean & the bed had clean crisp sheets & daily housekeeping. Room 109 a good sea view. |The bathroom was nice, but the shower screen was not adequate, the shower was not deep enough and so water flooded on to the floor.|Shampoo / conditioner/ body wash were on hand. |As is a kettle/ fridge/ glasses/ mugs. |Breakfast was good, but it was the basic food. Items like cereal were empty, there was a small table of cakes, which was not covered and so flies & wasps were eating! There was a small section of hot food.. |As the week went on the food looked a little less appealing.|We sat outside next to the pool in the mornings, which was a lovely setting. |There was an outside bar, I think the bistro was open for evening food. The bar was closed as the man who had been working there told us he had finished for the season the day we arrived. |There were literally 10 guests in the hotel and the hotel was closing the day we left. |The pool area was obviously empty due to hardly any guests, some sun beds were left out to be used. Throughout the week the hotel staff were gradually packing everything up. |The hotel is situated a short walk down into the small town & the beach. There is a couple of supermarkets just 100 yards away.. |Ruth on reception was lovely. |Overall the hotel is very nice, clean and comfortable, but unfortunately unbeknown to us they were closing for the season and so didn’t feel we got the best from...
