Had to stay her for 2 nights during our stay as our first accommodation was hosting a wedding so was fully booked for our last 2 days. Room was large with 1 single and 1 double and large sitting area with a dressing table and sofa. Kitchen was clean. Whole room was clean. The blankets on the bed were super itchy so we took them off and the shower has no hook so you have to hold it and then turn it off and put it down to wash your hair/your self which was a longer than normal process lol! Breakfast wasn't great, it consisted of 2 warm pieces of ham and cheese, 2 hard boiled eggs, 2 large white bread rolls and cake! Balcony area was quite small and over looks the palm tree bar so I wouldn't want to stay here in the height of summer as it was noisy in May at night. Supermarket down stairs has all sorts to buy and a small bakery (which is why we were surprised breakfast wasnt some fresh pastries). Overall an okay stay, rooms super basic but clean and staff are friendly. Just a warning, not sure if this is all the time but they weren't happy with me to pay buy debit card for the accommodation (not sure if they have to pay commissions to the card company on payments received) so I had to got to the cash point outside and the exchange rate...
Read moreWe just returned after a week in montes studios alykes. On arrival at 8.30 PM no one around but walked to shop and found Denise who runs them. She showed us to our apartment which was nice and cool due to air con .it was basic but clean.dated bathroom but functional once we mastered the shower and discovered how to flush the toilet! Had fridge,2 burner stove, microwave, kettle. Odd cups and glasses but we ate out every day so didn't need these. We were sent to Handsomes bar for breakfast every morning they served us coffee, juice, bread, ham, cheese and fruit. Perfectly adequate but as they do breakfast I ordered what I wanted from their menu a couple of times and paid for it. The owner Yanis and his staff really couldn't do enough, they were so freindly and welcoming.we ended up going there most evenings for a couple of drinks and the live music nights were great,Yanis is very talented.||The beach is yards away and is beautiful ||On our last day Denise let us have a room till 6pm which was a godsend to us. We paid but was well worth it. All In all I would stay here again for the price you pay it's a good little base and even though on main street not noisy as bars close 12 to 1AM and not much traffic...
Read moreCheck-in was easy. You can park your car on the street in front of the hotel to unload, then move it around back for free parking. Room was clean, everything worked, including the air conditioning, which was great (I wasn't expecting it, honestly, based on past hotels in Europe). Location was nice since the town is a good base for exploring the island and the hotel is near a beach, close to good restaurants (some will even deliver), and has a supermarket right next door. We really liked the breakfast, which tasted good and was quite plentiful. Check-out (nothing really, just turn in the keys) was easy, too.||||Room was a little cramped, especially the bathroom, and the shower was tiny, had only a curtain, and had a few plastic things in it. Tap water was totally undrinkable (salty). I always wish hotels would start breakfast a little earlier. Shared balcony was a little odd. Wi-Fi was very slow. Had a kitchen, but small and not many dishes...
