Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

We checked the menu out and were approached by a friendly gentleman who asked us what we would like to eat. My partner was keen to have BBQ ribs but was hesitant due to the previous bad experience the night before at another venue. We were assured that we would be served what we order and shown to our table. It was busy, however we were politely welcomed and seated. The ambiance was nice. A very friendly, smiley and happy lady came to take our drinks order. A short time later a very nice gentleman came and took our food order. My partner told him about our negative experience the previous night at another venue and he apologised even though it was nothing to do with him! She is keen on BBQ ribs, and he stated he would make them as per her instructions and make extra due to our negative experience. Our starters of bread, garlic prawns and vine leaves arrived. WOW!!! Huge portions and great tasty prawns and vine leaves arrived. Unfortunately, after we finished our starters my partner was unwell NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FOOD, possibly due to the high temperatures during the day! We were unable to have our mains. The mains were ready however we really couldn’t stay and have them. All the staff were very helpful and called us a taxi. The mains were ready however the owner who has asked the chef specially to make the BBQ RIBS extra big at no extra cost reassured my partner and guided us to the the taxi. They did not charge us for the mains and we felt really bad for leaving half way through our meal. All I can say is that this place is a must go !! The atmosphere and the genuineness and kindness of the staff is exceptional. They certainly put their customers before profit. They gave my partner water and reassured her whilst we waited for the taxi. We are certainly going to try and go back there before we leave to have our mains ! Please do visit this place, a really nice friendly family run traditional Greek restaurant that put people before profit. Well done guys, our faith in humanity has been reassured. We entered this restaurant because of the smell of good food... and we were not wrong at all I kept looking in the menu for lobster...but it wasn't displayed...so I asked them, they said that it could be solved and it was solved ! My first lobster in my life was beyond expectations, there is nothing more delicious !!! This is also where I ate octopus for the first time in my life, which was brilliant!!! And the lady chef cooked it perfectly! There is no better food on this earth! My husband said that he had never eaten better ribs than these !! And the sea bass was perfect !!! I haven't felt so much kindness in people for a very long time !!! The staff is great in every way, you really feel like a family, they are so open to you ! Quick service ! It was the only restaurant where we ate during the 7 nights spent in Zakynthos ! I don't regret anything!!!! See you next year! Thank you for your kindness and for the best dishes in...

Had garlic mushrooms starter and family bbq platter which consisted of bbq ribs and chicken fillet.

The mushrooms were in a tomato sauce, not what I'm used to and they were okay, not much garlic flavour but were different and got the job done.

The bbq ribs - the ribs were very tender and the meat fell off the bone, although there was very little bbq flavour within the sauce and I was disappointed with this, the chicken was the same, covered in the same sauce and lacked any real flavour, although it was cooked well, disappointed in this meal.

The servers were attentive although when it started to get busy we were sat for a while with no drinks.
