The short version: avoid this place.
To begin with the appetiser and drink, the fresh orange juice and fried courgette were tasty. No complaints there. This is why I'm giving my review two stars instead of one.
We then had lamb in the oven (Kleftiko) and grilled squid as our main courses. The lamb looked and tasted like it was cooked last month and then set to rest in the Chef's shoes. It was dry and rubbery without any real flavour. The accompanying salad was a joke; the green leaves were dry and tasted off. The tomato was decent, while the cucumber was tasteless and dried out.
While not horrific, the grilled octopus left much to be desired. I did like the colour of the octopus but in some places it was over done. Moreover I felt that it wasn't freshly grilled; more like yesterday's preparation (given that it took all but 5 minutes for the food to arrive). The salad, again, didn't seem freshly made. The rice that came with the octopus was just awful; it had a funny taste to it. The rice grains also seemed like they were cooked a few days ago.
The other customers in the restaurant at the time seemed gloomy and unhappy with their food; it was only then that I realised that this restaurant is not interested in offering a quality service. To me, it seems like it survives on unsuspecting guests who fail to check the terrible reviews beforehand (myself included).
Overall I am extremely disappointed and I will not return again. So do yourself a favour and go somewhere else if you want to treat your taste buds to quality...
Read morePopped in here on the way to the beach. Picked up a water and one small beer. Neither item had a price. Went to the till to pay, the cashier basically snatched our card and tapped his machine without letting us know the price, or telling us the price, it all happened very quickly. Apon checking our bank later that day,€10 euros was charged. For one bottle of water and a beer....... this will be the only place in Zante that will rip you off. If you do visit, be sure to ask for the price before he...

Nestled in the heart of vasilikos, this charming spot delivers seafood with a level of care and finesse that’s increasingly rare. From the moment we walked in, the warm, attentive service set the tone. The staff was knowledgeable, especially when it came to the fish offerings—eager to explain sourcing, preparation, and wine pairings without ever feeling...
