A truly outstanding and authentic taverna experience – easily a 5/5. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and genuinely family-run.
We ordered starters even though the portions were generous enough without them – and to our surprise, we received an additional complimentary starter from the kitchen. A lovely gesture that set the tone for the evening.
Our main dishes included: • 1x Kalamaki Special Pizza – incredibly filling, a half-pan pizza loaded with cheese and flavor. If you’re hungry, this will absolutely do the trick. • 1x Grilled Octopus – perfectly seasoned and grilled, tender and full of flavor. • 2x Chicken Souvlaki – absolutely delicious, well-marinated, and grilled to perfection. • Honey Halloumi (starter) – a sweet and salty delight.
As a final touch, we were treated to complimentary apple pie slices and multiple shots of local alcohol, shared together with our friendly server – a wonderful and personal moment that made the evening even more memorable.
This is a cozy, heartfelt family business, offering a truly authentic Greek taverna experience. If we had to mention one minor downside, the music was a little loud – but it still added to the lively and joyful atmosphere.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for genuine hospitality, great food, and a taste of real...
Read moreBefore even sitting down, I was asked what I wanted to drink. I said I need to look at the menu first. They bring the menu right away and immediately ask again, to which I respond I have to check the menu first. 30 seconds later they come again and ask me what I want to drink. Obviously I still hadn’t had the chance to look at the menu. We ordered two entrees and three mains for 3 people. The mains came after 40 min. We ask about the entrees, they bring one. We start eating the main for it not to get cold and ask for the second entree, it Comes as well but by that the time, the main dish was already eaten. The fried calamari was fresh and nice but the pork gyros was a nightmare. The meat was so dry, it looked like it had been prepared last week and every single day reheated and not served until it was eventually served to us. Really horrible experience. Music was also way too loud. They bring salad on the house and give a shot and desert on the house as well, but mainly just to hide that it’s a horrible place to eat. So many other options in Kalamaki, please consider them before...
Read moreThis is the best Greek restaurant in Kalamaki. It’s sits on the far western side of the strip. We visit several times during our stay in the area. It’s always our first port of call to connect to the local food. Front of house team are very friendly while maintaining excellent service. The authentic cheese dishes are delicious, the highlight of any evening. Each dish is well presented and delivered with a perfectly timed degree of anticipation. Mains are very well cooked too and well presented. The menu offers something for everyone and represents great value. Toilets are spotless! Always a good barometer for a well managed restaurant. There’s always a tipple to conclude the evening meal which is a nice touch. Congratulations to all involved for making us welcomed and be part of what surely feels a...
