Don’t miss THE BEST restaurant in Roatan. Some people passed it up because beer isn’t available with the food. Don’t make that mistake. This place is delicious!!! We have traveled the world, and this is some of the tastiest food we have ever enjoyed.

Nancy, Os and Christopher took such great care of us. I have a variety of dietary needs/preferences, and they were all “no problem”.

In addition to the food tasting great, it was all presented in such a pretty way. We went on a Wednesday, so the Sangria was 2 for the price of 1.

In addition to Sangria, they also have champagne and champagne based cocktails. And of course filtered water.

If you still have a taste for beer after your meal, pick some up at the convenience store across from the beach. But don’t miss out on this WONDERFUL culinary experience.

You could say I’m pretty picky when it comes to restaurants. I expect good service, great drinks, and most importantly, amazing food. I was a little disappointed with the food in Roatan until I stumbled upon this hidden gem. Pura Vida is a gorgeous waterfront spot in Half Moon Bay. The owner’s from Costa Rica, and let me tell you, she knows her stuff.

The vibe, the service, and most importantly, the food—all of it was top-notch. I ended up eating there more than once during my week in Roatan. Their empanadas are downright delicious, the fresh juices are so good they might be addictive, and the main courses? You won’t be disappointed. I’m still dreaming about that stuffed lobster dish I had — I actually went back more than once just for that! Honestly, I dare say it’s the best lobster in Roatan.

UF SIVO (Students for International Veterinary Opportunities) can't thank Pura Vida enough for all the delicious food and warm, welcoming atmosphere!! They were kind enough to cater lunch to us for one of the days during our three day clinic in which provided free veterinary care to the dogs and cats on the island. We are exceptionally grateful for their wonderful food that fueled us through the long clinic day.

Our group was also fortunate enough to celebrate our arrival on the island with a beautiful ocean side dinner at the Pura Vida restaurant where we were served an incredible three course meal. The staff were extremely kind and the food will not soon be forgotten for how good it was! We are much looking forward to returning to Pura Vida next year for our 2025 SIVO clinic. THANK YOU PURA...
