An unforgettable taste of island life at Foster's West Bay Resort in West Bay, Roatan offers the kind of authentic, laid-back Caribbean experience you dream about. From the moment you arrive, the stunning ocean views and gentle sound of waves set a tranquil mood. The restaurant itself embodies a rustic, open-air charm. Covered by a thatched palapa, the dining area blends seamlessly with the beach, allowing the constant, refreshing sea breeze to keep things comfortable. It's exactly the kind of atmosphere you want for a relaxing meal—no pretension, just pure island vibes. The food is as fresh and flavorful as you would expect. We started with an appetizer which were perfectly crispy and served with a tangy dipping sauce. For my main course, I had the a whole snapper, and it was outstanding. The fish was cooked to perfection and bursting with simple, fresh flavors. My companion loved their chicken, which had just the right amount of spice. A beach bar isn't complete without great drinks, and Foster's delivers. Their signature piña colada was a standout—refreshing, potent, and the perfect way to cool down. The happy hour is a great value. Downturn is that menu isn't inexpensive, nothing under $25 on the menu just so you know. What truly elevates this spot, however, is the service. Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The staff were quick with a smile and a fresh round of drinks, making the entire experience feel warm and welcoming. Foster's is a genuine gem and a must-visit for anyone seeking a true taste of Caribbean paradise. It's the perfect place to enjoy fantastic food and drinks while watching the sun set over the turquoise water. And speaking of water....the beach is amazing!!!! The very best beach in Roatan. We definitely enjoyed swimming there. We didn't stay at the hotel, so we payed for the use of the beach chairs. And since we didn't stay at the hotel, I can't really give any type of insight on the rooms. We'll be back on our next trip to swim...

PSA!

We have had the most wonderful time on this extraordinary island until this guy came along.

Isaiah Diaz (Foster) - Fosters West Bay Resort Do not book a tour with Isaiah Diaz our experience was a complete scam, and it's clear this individual and his family's business operate with a total disregard for customer service and honesty.

We paid a $100 deposit for a nurse shark tour that was scheduled for the following day. When we arrived at the designated pick-up spot, we waited patiently, but the boat never showed up. We waited for over two hours, yet no one ever came.

When we contacted Isaiah, his story changed multiple times. First, he claimed the boat was there and that we missed it. He then changed his story, saying the boat was "coming back for us." Neither of these stories was true. He never delivered on the tour he promised and then refused to return our money. He tried to offer a "credit," which was useless since we were leaving the country. After we insisted on our refund, he became hostile and sent us scathing messages, stating he would never give our money back.

Isaiah (Foster) Diaz is running a dishonest business. This is not a misunderstanding; it is a clear case of theft and appalling behavior. Save yourself the trouble and the money—book with a reputable...

Worst Excursion of Our Cruise

Visiting this so-called “resort” was hands down the worst experience of our 7-day cruise port stops. We were charged $20 per person, only to be greeted with a muddy parking area and a beach covered in litter. Overflowing garbage cans added to the unpleasant sight, and the tightly packed beach chairs made the area feel cramped and uninviting.

The women’s restroom was in terrible condition—2 out of 3 toilets were overflowing, and one toilet handle was broken in half. It was filthy and clearly neglected.

The vendors on the beach were extremely aggressive, constantly pushing their merchandise or services. Worse yet, they were physically fighting among themselves, adding to the chaotic and stressful atmosphere.

We didn’t bother trying the food at the bar because it was overpriced, but the beer we purchased was warm and tasted old.

This place was a complete disappointment and not worth the time or money. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing or...

My wife and I had a fantastic stay at Foster's! It is right on the beach but at the far end so you get a little more privacy. The main thing we wanted to do was go snorkeling and it was perfect for that! While we were checking in they offered to go ahead and get us signed up to go out to the Blue Channel the next day for a good price. The next morning our guide took us out on the boat and gave us a tour of the reef which included beautiful coral, hundreds of fish, and a sea turtle. Moreover, he allowed us to keep the snorkeling gear for the rest of the day so that afternoon we did some more snorkeling just off the south end of the beach. Our only complaint was that the WIFI didn't work well. If we go back to Roatan we will stay at Foster's again.

A less than relaxing day at the sandy beach. Be prepared to pay $10 for each lounge chair on the small, crowded beach. Expect to be endlessly pestered by vendors and children selling their cheap tourism merchandise. Especially, beware of the very "handy" masseuses plying their trade. Also, there are no changing rooms. On the "good" side the waiters were quick to offer adult beverages and keep one well supplied with beer. An outdoor shower is available for those wishing to rinse off and public restrooms are centrally located further down the beach behind Lala Llama Momma Restaraunt.

I stayed there by 5 days for work, I loved the place, has a very nice location since is in one the best spots of the island (West Bay), the people is very nice, they give you discounts on tours just for staying there. There’s a couple I liked one takes you on the Bottom Glass Boat it lasts for about an hour and a half, but it worths the ride (see the pictures), Am I going to stay there again, definitely yes 👍🏻
