We had the most delightful dinner on Friday at this hidden treasure. Wow, what a beautiful place! 🌿✨ If you're seeking a truly exceptional dining experience, make sure you venture out of central Budapest to find culinary perfection. Don't be intimidated by the elegant setting—this place is all about down-to-earth, delicious food and a friendly atmosphere. 😊 To start, we wallowed in a goat cheese panna cotta. The creamy texture of the panna cotta paired with the tangy richness of goat cheese was like a symphony for the taste buds. A true piece of art on the plate! 🎨🧀 Next up was the wild boar goulash with nipped pasta, root vegetables, and shimeji mushrooms. The goulash had a depth of flavor that made each bite an adventure, with tender pieces of wild boar that practically melted in the mouth. The nipped pasta was the perfect companion, soaking up the hearty sauce and adding a delightful chewiness. 🍲🍄 For the main courses, we tried the Mangalitza Bakonyi Styleand the dry-aged Red Angus rib-eye from Hubertus Farm. The Mangalitza pork was cooked to perfection, with a succulent, juicy texture and a savory sauce that elevated every bite. The rib-eye, on the other hand, was a carnivore's dream—perfectly seared on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. You could taste the quality and care in every morsel. 🥩🍖 And then, the grand finale—dessert! We couldn't resist the Hungarian curd cheese dumplings, which were light, fluffy, and bursting with flavor. Dare I say, they were even better than my mom's (and she's quite the cook)! The Pavlova was the perfect end to our meal, with its crisp meringue shell, soft and chewy inside, and a medley of fresh exotic fruits that added a refreshing sweetness. 🍰🍓 If you're on the hunt for a great value upscale restaurant, look no further. Trust me, you won't find a better dining experience...
Read moreI had a really lovely dining experience at Agos Restaurant in Kimpton Bem. The setting on the Art-Tour Terrace is beautiful — vibrant yet peaceful, with elegant white furniture and a calm atmosphere that really reflects the charm of the Bem area. The food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the tuna carpaccio and grilled octopus — both were full of flavor and really well prepared. The wine list was also impressive, with a great mix of Hungarian and international selections. What truly added to the evening was the warm and attentive service. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcome without being overbearing.
Overall, it was a relaxed, tasteful evening and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a quality spot with a great vibe...
Read moreI had both dinner and breakfast here. For dinner, I tried the Mangalitza fillet and wild boar goulash. The Mangalitza was outstanding, so flavorful that I wish I had the chance to come back for it again. The goulash was very impressive in presentation and quite tasty, though a bit salty for my Asian palate. The wine recommended by the staff paired beautifully with the dishes, but unfortunately, I was enjoying the moment so much that I forgot to note the name of the bottle.
Breakfast was average. The setting was comfortable, but the food selection and taste were rather ordinary. If time allows, I would recommend exploring breakfast options outside.
Every staff member was warm, energetic, and genuinely hospitable. Highly recommend this...
