ASSAULTED BY THE BOUNCERS!!!!!!!! MAFIA RUN CLUB Please be careful and do a lot of research before you go to this club. My boyfriend was hugging another guy in the club that he knew but apparently to the bouncers it looked like they were fighting and about 10 of them barged him to the wall got him in a head lock and pushed him through the fire exit door making him land on his back when they all piled on top of him with their knees and elbows in his neck causing him to black out after screaming from help and holding his arms up!! I was hysterically crying for them to stop and they pushed me and punched me for trying to get to him and check on him while he was unconscious. I finally managed to get to him and had to lightly slap his face to wake him up and as he got up in a daze they then surrounded him like animals and attacked him again because he was so light headed and was staggering but to them they said 'he looked dangerous' so they then picked him up and body slammed him into the ground and he passed out AGAIN then pulled down his trousers allowing his gentiles to be on show to everyone who was outside the club while hes unconscious and they then carried his body up the stairs and dropped him on the floor and as i screamed and ran over to him, they laughed in my face and smashed my phone on the floor!! I have never been so scared and appalled in my entire life!! When i spoke to the organisers of my holiday they also said that this has been a regular occurrence, we even saw this happen to someone else the night before! PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ARE THERE!!! AND IF YOU DO GO, JUST KEEP YOURSELF TO YOURSELF BECAUSE THEY ARE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! We are currently taking this issue up further with the British embassy as the owner of the club completely avoided us and refused to speak with us the day after when we came back to complain.
I have attached pictures...
Read moreI was at a party in one of the rooms with two friends. At a certain moment, we went out to the bathroom through one of the doors of the room that was open and free. When we came back, I crossed the same door. There was no warning, the door was open and I had the ticket/bracelet clearly on me. Once I got in, the security guy pulled my arm very strongly, almost making me fall on the floor, embarrassing me in front of my friends and in front of the others present, then threw me to the main door informing me that the entrance was there. This situation was very embarrassing. I felt treated like a criminal in a place I expensively paid to be. As if it wasn't enough, when one of my friends left, we crossed the same door to head to the lockers. A security guy approached us asking if we were leaving, we informed that one of our friends was, and he informed us that if we used that door again we would no longer be allowed in. I questioned that if we're not supposed to use the door even to leave the room, then why would that door be open without a warning or without one of them looking after it. Then they started insulting me in Hungarian. If those people don't want to be working in such events, by homophobia or pure unprofessionalism, the place should review or educate their staff. If it happen to me again I'll be...
Read moreVisited the Akvarium for the Mild Orange concert and followed all indications as indicated on the site. We booked the tickets in February and came from Romania specifically for the concert. The security guards wouldn't let us enter with our bags even though the site says we could drop those off at the cloak room. We had to beg a local hotel to let us leave the bag there for the duration of the concert. Thankfully that worked out.
It would also help if your security guards would speak at least A FEW WORDS OF ENGLISH, ESPECIALLY FOR A CONCERT WHERE INTERNATIONALS ARE EXPECTED. Someone translated for us what we talked to the guards and to say the least they were very rude, treating us with some very unsavoury words.
I will make sure to tell all of my friends and acquaintances to steer clear of the Akvarium and avoid it. Budapest is a fantastic city but our experience in the club definitely made our whole experience worse. We didn't buy those tickets to be treated like sh*t by your staff.
Music was amazing, but the club...
