Montenegro Gurman — Restaurant in Budapest

The food was correct. It was clean and new place. The service charge they included without further explanation was 6620Ft (21€) in some point is acceptable…I don’t judge the system of each country.

They scammed us shamelessly with the price of “Palinka shots”( typical Hungarian liqueur). We order 8 shots of “Palinka” for the excessive price of 28,800Ft (92 €), it is ridiculous when the price of the full meal + drinks was 32.990Ft (105€) including the service charge.

We explain to the waiter our shock after check the price of the “Palinka shots” on the bill and he just said the prices are in the menu… maybe with 6620Ft (21€) of service charge a waiter could warn us about this “small” detail…

Summary of our passage through "Montenegro Gurman Restaurant" a complete scam and disappointment visit! Don’t scam the clients please! At the end you will have a bad review! But I am pretty sure you don´t care that’s the problem : )

For the expensive prices it was not such a good experience. The draft beer was flat, the service was without a smile, even though there were only two tables with guests, the waiter barely came by to check if we wanted more drinks, I waited at least 10 minutes to get his attention to order another refreshment. The washroom toilet had piss all over the seat and there was no soap in the dispenser. I mean come on guys! You can make a little effort, especially when it was not at all busy!!! The only redeaming thing was that the food was good, we had the fa tál...

The bbq meat here are excellent. My favorite is the mince veal meatballs (see picture) and my favorite dessert is the white smushy cakek. The wait staffs though, need to be kinder to their custumers. Serving is not merely taking orders correctly and putting the food on the table. These folks almost visibly dispise their customers. Had they been more cordial like all the servers in high end establishments surrounding this restaurant, this place would have been packed day in and day out because the food price is competitive and the food...
