Arrived today for our final breakfast before leaving Budapest and sadly, this was not a great experience to end on. We arrived with suitcases and bags and were told to sit anywhere outside (there were a few tables free at the time). We were going to sit at a table at the edge of the restaurant so that the cases were out of everyone's way but the waitress stopped us and said 'except that table, it's too big' (we were in a group of 3, the table would have seated 4 and there were other tables of the same size with groups of 2 at them so it didn't feel inappropriate for us to sit there considering we had bags and cases too). Instead we were seated at a small round table in the middle of the outside seating area so it felt cramped and our cases were in the way of customers and staff.

The food tasted ok but was a bit on the cold side. We mentioned to the waiter who served our food that we hadn't received our drinks yet and got an abrupt response 'yes, wait'. We were half way through eating our breakfast before the drinks came. There was barely enough room on the table for the food and drinks (3 plates of food and 3 drinks).

All in all, a very disappointing experience with mediocre food and rude staff when compared to the many other positive experiences we had whilst in Budapest. We will not return and would...

I had an absolutely delightful experience at Keksz Budapest, and I can't say enough good things about the exceptional service I received, particularly from Tomas. From the moment I stepped foot into the cafe, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to assist.

Tomas went above and beyond to ensure that my visit was enjoyable and memorable. He was incredibly helpful, patiently answering all my questions about the menu and offering fantastic recommendations. It was evident that he was passionate about the cafe's offerings and took pride in his work.

As for the food and beverages, they were simply outstanding! The menu had a wide variety of delicious options, and the quality of the ingredients was top-notch. Whether you're a coffee aficionado or a lover of baked goods, Keksz Budapest has something to please every palate.

The ambiance of the cafe was charming, with cozy seating arrangements and a lovely decor that added to the overall enjoyment of my visit. The cleanliness and attention to detail were also...

Came to have lunch here after being recommended this restaurant a few times by people who love this place. I go out for lunch/dinner at least twice a week in almost always a different place. Ofcourse I have my favorites as well, but Keksz won't be one of them. To avoid a very long review I'll keep it short. In my opinion the food was mediocre.. it tasted alright, but really nothing special. The prices are average and acceptable. The staff was very friendly, but quite slow/unattantive when I visited. The seating is very uncomfortable with hard wooden chairs which all wobble and there is barely any walking room on the terrace.

All in all a place that is not worth it for me to visit again. Maybe this place was overhyped to me by the people who recommended it to me, after that it can only disappoint. If people like this place, good for them and I can imagine, but I prefer to spend my money elsewhere where it's...

So admittedly this review is a little late , but I was going through my photos and stumbled upon these that immediately reminded me of the sad breakfast I got here. Two stars because the coffee was good , the place itself is cute and the staff was pretty nice. Three stars docked because my omelet looked like it had been through hell and came back to serve its purpose of giving me karma for whatever soul I had wronged prior to coming here. 😂 The icing on the cake—plate— was the “salad” I got with a literal lettuce butt left in my plate. I sat there for like 5 mins staring at my plate trying to figure out if was rude to the staff or didn’t say please. Anywho , the other reviews and photos online have delicious meals so perhaps they were just having an off day , but I don’t think I’ll be back for some more sad salad , personally.

Ok breakfast spot , We visited this place for breakfast , we waited 5 minuted to be seated as the stuff didn’t care much about 3 people standing in the middle and waiting to be treated, the tables were leaning and moving and also sticky which was kinda unpleasant and mostly not the most clean. The service after we got seated was good , we ordered our breakfast and were surprised by the size which wasn’t the biggest but the taste was good(no wow factor) ,the lemonade was very good ! At the end when paying the waitress didnt let us pay by saying how much each one wants to pay(we wanted to split ) and he forced us to pay by items each which is kinda weird and old . Overall wouldn’t visit here again.

We loved the breakfast, the service was amazing. We had the French toast with cheddar and sour cream, American pancakes with maple syrup and berries jam, sausage variety with mustard and bread, the avocado toast with Parmesan. All dishes were tasty and we were not expecting such big portions, for drinks we had mimosas raspberry lemonade and double espressos. There was a very small issue with the service, as one dish was forgotten, probably because of the language barrier or because of the large number of customers, however the staff was very polite and apologetic also gave us a consistent discount. Thank you for the service and also for our time there !
