Allegro is well designed and that’s where it ends. I wanted to love this place and I got excited when I saw their mushroom risotto on the menu.

I ordered:

Drink = Pina Colada I don’t know how to describe their drink, but it was not a pina colada. I have had many pina coladas in my lifetime, and I have made my own, and this was just not it.

Starter = Mixed Salad I wanted some greens. The salad was bigger than expected yet tasty. It was nothing special; however, it satisfied my greens craving.

Main Course = Mushroom Risotto I get it, risotto is hard, it’s equal part art and science. I haven’t even mastered risotto, and I am usually intimidated by the endeavor. So, I give them grace for trying, but if you have the audacity to put it on the menu, it better be at least good. This however, was a sad risotto. The meal came out warm, it wasn’t made fresh and it feels like they just plated it and put it in the microwave. The mushrooms were not even fresh, they gave me canned vibes, and as a bonafide mushroom lover, it was hard to eat the mushrooms. Plus, the risotto was too watery. I can go on, but I won’t; I will save you some time.

If you are looking for a cool vibe restaurant that has neat interior design and fun art on the walls, then Allegro is not a bad choice. If you’re looking to eat, consider it, but don’t order the...

We dined here as a family of seven and got a table straight upon arrival even though we didn’t have a booking. The staff was nice, although both the young waitress and waiter were heavily overloaded with the many tables outside and the few more inside where we sat. All the drinks and food was excellent without exception, thus the 5 stars is well deserved. The staff did their utmost to please and to respond to requests as quickly as they could. There was a slight confusion around the food we ordered but it was resolved in the speediest manner and an excess of apologies were offered along some olives and bread sticks as compliments. Prices are tolerable, pretty much what one would expect from such a delicate place and at its location. We haven’t had any wine, so I can’t judge that, but the wide selection of starters, mains, lemonades and cocktails we tried were beautifully made, tasty, and harmonious. The ice cream was excellent as well. Over all, this is a place to return to thanks to the nice food and the beautiful manners and tirelessness...

Not a bad restaurant. But there are some things lacking. First of all, there are no drinks portrayed on the website, just the food menu. Also there are no pictures of the food. I found service OK, but was understaffed. The waitress was very kind and efficient, though we waited for the food quite some time appx 20-25 min... Not bad if the food is excellent. However the meat soup had tough meat, not some tender meat one would wish. The gnocchi with pistachio was lacking dimensions, the pizza tonno was a bit dry with the tomato sauce a bit less than anticipated, the tuna felt dry and was missing capri also. Finally there were no oils to pour onto the pizza, no spices. Since the waitress was overwhelmed I did not want to disturb her with such trivial requirements.
