Just finished our "lovely" family meal and have to be honest the food is terrible. My wife is from an Asian background and we love Vietnamese cuisine but this is not even close to it, she called it the worst ever meal.

Well, where shall I start about our family experience... The guy working tonight didn't speak hungarian or english properly therefore getting an additional empty plate for our kids to share their dish was a mission already. I ordered a number 9 - meat soup, but the liquid was oily, tasteless and luke warm not a good start for a soup. Even though I went for the "big" portion 2 slices of beef and 2,5 slices of pork didnt justify the additional costs. My wife went for nr 4 (grilled lemongrass chicken with rice noodles, served with radish and fish sauce). First time ever seen her losing the appetite just looking and eating one bite from the dish. Ordered also an additional bun - filled with pork - but this went straight to the bin after one bite as the taste was disgusting. Kids shared a plate of fried noodles with beef - first time I seen beef brisket been used in a stir fried dish - and this was also terrible.

All in all we just visited this place (first and last time) but I really feel sorry for the local people as this place is a disgrace to the Vietnamese cuisine and they should be ashamed to serve anyone . My advise, close down and...

Great food, in my opinion, they have one of the best Pho in the city and the spring rolls are also top tier. The price is also very good, especially for the Pho, if you order the big portion it will be HUGE, but the spring roll is a bit small. I paid 3500HUF for a can of Coke, a big pho soup and a portion of spring rolls. Great price. This is not a fancy place, but it still has decent seats, and a comfortable inside. Only thing is, I highly dislike the service, the guy at the counter (always the same guy, at least when I go), either does not care or even is rude sometimes. The food is...

I enjoy this place regularly, even though you definitely dont come here for the service or the air quality…..usually quite tasty food, unless they serve you cold pho soup because they are in a rush…like when I brought my dad here last time to warm up on a cold winter day….and no attempt to solve this either, once mentioned :/

The portion of the spring rolls is decreasing constantly, but with the price staying the same during heavy inflation, you really cant complain. Worth rolling the dice on this, as opposed to visiting one of the hideous,...

One of the best bowls of pho I’ve had in Budapest I had the beef pho, stir fried noodles and shrimp dumplings. Everything tasted just right. It’s a small place with only a few tables, run by one guy cooking in an open kitchen. Service was fast, we instantly could sit down and order, and the food felt honest and made with care. Very good prices, we paid about 10 euros per person which is a steal. Not ideal for a long sit-down meal, but perfect if you want quick, quality Vietnamese food. Bao Nam Pho is a hidden gem worth checking out.

This is such an odd place (in a positive way). It took the staff a long time until they were able to take our order - they are only two people busy cooking all the dishes. The place is tiny and not overly comfortable. However, the soups are absolutely fantastic and I will definitely come back for that. The prices are low, even for Budapest, and the owners clearly know how to create delicious food. 5/5 would recommend for a quick lunch or dinner. Don’t expect a relaxed table-side dish, though.

Tiny pho eatery serving rich, flavourful broth, house made spring rolls, and mediocre noodles. Info: accepts debt/credit, understands (very) basic English, small menu (pho and spring rolls). Large portions. ~1500 huf pp. Recommend: fried spring rolls, crisp, thin skin and packed with pork and veggies. Note: Noodles didn't hold the (tasty) broth and easily broke apart; needed to eat pho with spoon.
