hanasushi — Restaurant in Budapest

The sushi's were super nice presented and clean, tasty and the fish were fresh, almost perfect. I also ordered the wonton soup on that day but it was particularly way off its normal taste. The filling inside immediately was the first noticable smelly taste that was way off for me at the first bite, my brother could confirm the same thing too on his first bite. The chef maybe tried to mask it too maybe by putting way too much sesame oil in the soup, which makes it totally foul for us. We left the wonton soup aside after 2 scoups already. Maybe that day was way too hot too, to store them properly? But it cannot be the reason to not check the taste of it. Chef should step up and check its taste of the wontons, other than that, all the other food he made was up to perfection. The bad wonton soup gave us a downgrade in the overall experience of the menu we took. But overall the service was quick and prices...

The sushi was very fresh and they tasted great! The size of the sushi was a lot bigger than I expected too, which, was an added bonus for a sushi lover. Very generous with the filling, too!

I got 12 pieces of avocado, salmon, crabstick for approx £7 (amazing price compared to the UK) and a beer. Cost me approx £10-11 all in (including a 10% service charge)

I returned to try their spicy soup noodles 🍜 which cost approx £6. All I can say is... try it for yourself! The noodles itself were very "al dente" which, in my opinion, is how noodles should be (being chinese, I know my noodles 😉) I loved their homemade chilli oil, too! It had such a yummy fragrance to it (I would have bought a jar if they sold it..) Best go try it for yourself! I'll definitely be back when I next visit Budapest.

If you are high on sugar and low on salt, stop by and get your salt booster. I ordered a Beef bento, the beef was cooked with 3x of normal daily sodium intake. The beef was tender, thanks to baking soda. Three tables and we waited 30 mins for two bento boxes. They had one cook and she was cooking one dish at a time.

Salty food, greasy smell atmosphere and slow food service. It was like watching kitchen nightmares, and I was G.Ramsey.

I would have given a 3 stars if my beef wasn’t that salty, and an extra star if they had turned on the exhaust fan ad fast service time.
