Krúdy Söröző — Restaurant in Budapest

So as we entered the coffee place the waitress didn't look at us ur came to us to take an order. She was talking on the phone all the time and didn't even care that we were sitting alone in coffee for 10 min straight.

After i came up to the counter I tried to talk to her but she kept being on the phone. I had to interrupt her exhibitions to order just a coffee and coffee with milk.

When she prepared it, she just left it on the counter and didn't even called us that it is over and just went back in kitchen. I mean i don't look to be served as king, but I would appreciate some respect as costumer.

And then I got a bill.. So here I have a HUGE PROBLEM. The price of coffee doesn't metch the menu (probably because of "turist price"). Simply TERRIBLE !! Even tho It is cheap, I don't recomend it at all.

If you change your staff I'll consider visiting it again.

Edit note: I confronted them because of that. First problem I had was that no one spoke English, but luckily one guy helped me translate my problem. Second they were saying that everything was OK and the waitress wanted to take the full price, but after I showed them the menu she said that "I took" the wrong bill because that was the ammount for beer. Considering that my order was placed in the counter, I admit the posibilty that it could happen, but then they wouldn't just say that everything was ok. At the end they gave me the right bill with the right...

The lady behind the counter if you can call her that is despicable. She never rang in the order to the till and on second order over charged me by over double. When confronted gave me 1800 huf back which still wasn't enough. We visited this place last time we was in Budapest. Hopefully the management will do something about this it was 20.36 on May 6th 2024. Also glasses were knocked over by another table it took her half hour to clean up broken glass. The woman is a rip off erchantI feel sorry for the management as the skank was trying yo make a quick buck. Kits a shame as we have been here last year and enjoyed it so much had some good...

The lady behind the bar literally stole my money. I was unfamiliar with the hungarian small change so I bought a beer and offered her the change I had in my hand for her to take out the appropriate amount. I knew there was about the equiv of 20 euros there, The beer was about 3 euros. She took the handful of money, threw it in the tip jar, and said that amount was correct. I looked at her in disbelief. I said there was about 20 euro equiv in the chance. She said :"No there was not. can you prove it?". Utterly...
