Fiktiv — Restaurant in Budapest

I went to this restaurant with my wife this week. I ordered an edelweiss beer that had a horrible taste, a characteristic off-flavor of brettanomyces yeasts, which in this type of beer is considered a contaminant. We ordered two hamburgers and a portion of fries, my wife ordered the hamburger without salad, the waiter did not wrote the order down and brought the hamburger with salad, we asked to remove the salad and the waiter took the hamburger and the fries back into the kitchen, on his way, he dropped the fries on the floor and when he brought the hamburger again he forgot to bring the fries, we had already lost our hunger so we didn't even say anything about the fries, I had almost finished my burger when my wife's burger was delivered to the table. When it was time to pay, the waiter brought the bill with the fries included, we said that we had not received the fries and the waiter even questioned us, doubting our word, he had just removed the plates and there was no basket of fries. Die Bar bzw. das Restaurant hat seine guten Bewertungen in den sozialen Netzwerken nicht umsonst erhalten. Der größte Unterschied zu vielen anderen Restaurants in Budapest ist, dass das gesamte Team ständig freundlich ist und den Gast mit einem Lächeln auf dem Mund begegnet. Das Restaurant liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße ohne Verkehr, im Sommer kann man gemütlich auf der Freifläche sitzen. Lediglich die angrenzende Seitenstraße wir selten befahren. Abseits der verkehrsreichen Hauptstraßen fühlt man sich hier wie in einer Oase. Die Preise sind moderat und für die Qualität des Angebots völlig gerechtfertigt und keineswegs überzogen. Der Gast wird respektiert. Das konnte ich vor allem daran erkennen, dass meine Versuche, auf Ungarisch zu bestellen, nicht ungeduldig mit Englisch beschleunigt wurden, sondern dass man sich bemüht hat, mir zu helfen und mich zu verstehen. Alles in allem ist das Restaurant aus unserer Sicht uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Wir haben einige Restaurants in Budapest besucht, aber hier sind wir in einer Woche dreimal zum Abendessen gewesen und das will etwas heißen, bei der Auswahl in Budapest. Bitte weiter so. Und denkt bitte daran: ein Lächeln ist wichtiger als ihr denkt. Das ist euer besonderes Plus!

A bárban vagy az étteremben nem kapott jó véleményeket a közösségi hálózatokon. A legnagyobb különbség Budapest számos más étterme számára az, hogy az egész csapat mindig barátságos, és mosolyogva találkozik a vendégekkel a szájukon. Az étterem csendes mellékutcában található, közlekedés nélkül, nyáron kényelmesen ülhet a szabadban. Csak a szomszédos mellékutcán ritkán vezetünk. Távol a forgalmas főutaktól, úgy érzi, mintha egy oázisban lennének. Az árak mérsékeltek és teljes mértékben igazolják az ajánlat minőségét, és semmiképpen sem túlzóak. A vendéget tiszteletben tartják. Meg tudtam mondani azt a tényt, hogy magyarul megrendelt kísérletem nem türelmetlenül felgyorsult az angolul, hanem próbált segíteni nekem és megérteni. Összességében az étterem véleményünk szerint teljes mértékben ajánlott. Meglátogattunk néhány budapesti éttermet, de itt voltunk háromszor egy héten vacsorázni, és ez Budapesten is valamit választ. Kérem, tartsa fent. És ne feledje: a mosoly sokkal fontosabb, mint gondolná. Ez a különleges plusz!

The biggest difference to many other restaurants in Budapest is that the whole team is always friendly and meets the guest with a smile on their lips. The restaurant is located in a quiet side street without traffic, in summer you can sit comfortably on the open space. Only the adjacent side street we rarely drive. Away from the busy main roads, it feels like being in an oasis. The prices are moderate and fully justified for the quality of the offer and by no means exaggerated. The guest is respected. I could tell that from the fact that my attempts to order in Hungarian were not impatiently accelerated with English, but that they tried to help me and to understand me. All in all, the restaurant is in our view fully recommended. We visited some restaurants in Budapest, but here we were in a week three times for dinner and that means something to choose from in Budapest. Please continue. We visited Fiktiv Restaurant because it was recommended as one of the upcoming 10 best restaurants in Budapest in a Condé Nast article. However, our experience was far from what we expected. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, and we remained the only table for the rest of the evening.

A real food critic wouldn't have any praise for this food. The dishes were tasteless, too fancy for their own good, and the waitress went on and on about them in a way that we thought we were in a Monty Python sketch.

To top it off, the bill came to £100 per person, which is just way too much for what we got. You can't ask for such high prices for food that is bland and boring.

I believe the previous 5-star reviews, which all show the same dishes we ordered, aren't real. No one asked for our feedback while we were at the restaurant.
