We had a great time. The room is clean, cozy, and stylish. The location is great as it is in a walking distance to two tram lines, two metro stations, and the airport shuttle drop-off & pick-up points (two different points). ||The breakfast was amazing. They alternate between a pancake day and a crepe day. Other pastries were also nice as well as cheese & cold cuts corner. There were so many choices for breakfast. ||All day coffee & tea were free of charge, and most generously they served mull wined in the afternoon. I guess it's because of winter. ||Last but not least, the front desk was really helpful. Special thanks to Zsolt who helped us booked two of the busiest baths in the city. It was around 12 euro cheaper than 3rd party website like GYG. If somehow you could not book the baths through direct booking (I couldn't), talk to the staff and they'll solve...
Read moreFabulous! This smallish (17 rooms) and spotless hotel is in a lovely old building, built round a courtyard which is mostly roofed in to provide an inside terrace. Many of the rooms face into the courtyard. The rooms have air-con which is definitely a blessing in Budapest summer weather (35C when we were there!). The street outside is a very quiet back-street, but bustling squares full of bars and cafes are a very short distance away, as is the main "outer ring" road with trams to all parts of the city. There's an excellent buffet breakfast but no restaurant. The staff are friendly and very helpful - nothing is too much trouble - and mostly speak English. For a comfortable clean hotel in a quiet location but within easy distance of - well, everything - this would be hard to beat. Highly...
Read moreWe spent just over a week here and it was perfect for our needs. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful – on our first evening the receptionist sat down with us, gave us some maps of the city and explained all of the best places to go, how the city is laid out and pointed out some spots we might enjoy based on what we were looking for. The location is very central but also very quiet, which was a surprise given how close it is to a main street. The room was large, comfy and clean, though the only thing it was missing was a table and two chairs so that my partner and I could sit together in the evenings (though there was a desk). The breakfast was not quite as varied as I hoped but was very tasty. I highly recommend staying here if you’re...
