Marxim is place that has not changes much over the course of the past 17-18 years. In the late 90s the place was colourful patch in the not so various Budapest scene turning the once feared symbols of communism into a plane pizzeria manifestation. It is the same ever since. I came here for a pizza and started to like its decor. A lot of it were pretty witty and fun. Didn’t expect much of a pizza at a bar but it was really good. I would come back.

Staff are really nice and friendly and not pretentious at all. The idiot that I am left my credit card here, and they were nice about it when I came back a few days later (they were closed in between).

They have pizzas that use paprika based sauces instead of the more traditional tomato based one, and they serve said pizzas in a nicely decorated "communist" scene that makes you wonder whether there is still an iron curtain that makes it difficult for these bakers to get their hands on some Italian tomatoes. Amazing taste, perfect vibes, a unique take on pizza, and so on. A special little place that deserves your visit at your earliest...
