Amazing pizza in Budapest, authentic Neapolitan style and definitely a must try for pizza lovers. However, I cannot give a good rating to the staff.
It was Sunday evening, and probably the owner/manager was not around. They would not be very attentive, I would even say a bit lazy. We arrived and there was no table free, so we had to order takeaway, but 5 min later, we got a table for us, and actually after 30min there were plenty of free tables (so it makes me feel there was not much planning about bookings). We ordered a couple of drinks, that took very long, since the lady on the bar seemed to be more interested with chatting with her colleagues or looking into a big table that arrived with many young men...we had to go and chase them to get our drinks a couple of times, get the menu, etc.
They never came back to ask for dessert or another drink, even we were talking for quite a while in our table once we finished the pizza. If manager was around, that's like rule number 1, go around the tables and ask for "do you guys want anything else?"
A shame because pizza was one of the best I've tried, but staff was not at the same level, lazy and neglecting customers. Won't be going back...
Read moreWe went here for a catchup with a friend( we were just 2) and because they have glutten free option. expecting a nice table booking a week in advance. They wanted to put us in a corner next to the kids play area. We asked to be some where else because it was extremely loud and busy with kids, they said "no" the other table were bookings, I said i booked a week in advace and they still didnt believe me yet they never asked for my name and they do not put names on the reserved tables. Manager had to come out and we said we would like a table away from kids and then he finally said okay.
Dont understand why you wouldnt give the table by the play area to a family instead since there were many families dining at the time. (As a teacher, we love kids and spending time with them, but on your day off you dont want to deal with kids, no offense to any one) Would probably not go back if i can find another pizzaria who does gluten...
Read moreI wouldn't say that anything (service, internal of the place) was better than other pizzerias in Budapest, but I'd definitely say that the pizza and the lemonade didn't taste good. Therefore I wouldn't recommend the place, as there are better pizzerias in Budapest in this price category.
The place uses a new way to make their pizzas, with which they are said to be able to make a pizza in 90 seconds. When I was there I'd had to wait 25 mins to get my pizza, therefore it's fair to say that customers don't gain much from this new way of pizza making. But how much they lose... Don't get me wrong, I love innovation, but in this case it haven't changed for the better. To achieve this time, they make their pizzas on 400 °C from which the side of the dough burns and the basil leaves burn to coal. The whole pizza gets a weird coal-y bitter taste from it, which I personally found bad, but it's a...
