We overall had a great experience at this restaurant because the pizza, dough and ingredients were fantastic, the cook was super chill and friendly, but they were certainly not upfront about being a cash only establishment. There was no sign outside the restaurant stating that, and it wasn’t mentioned to us before we ordered. When we went to pay they said cash only and pointed to a tiny sign in the corner as if we should have known all along. My husband didn’t have a debit card on him so we had to use a credit card and it had a super high fee and transfer rate. He also had the threat of the cops being called if we couldn’t pay which is an extremely overwhelming threat being a tourist in another country. What is sad, is that we talked early on about how we wish we found this place sooner and how we wanted to leave a 5 star review, but this ruined the experience for us. If you want amazing pizza I highly recommend it, but just be aware that they don’t accept card and won’t be clear or upfront about that fact. We tried to give constructive feedback to only get a response of “but why would you leave a bad review”. I would normally have given 5 stars, but I think other people should be aware before considering a place that isn’t transparent and seems to be...
Read moreI honestly thought everything was great until I tried to pay. The food was great, the drinks were great, the cook was friendly. And then I tried to pay my 9940 HUF ($25) bill and I was surprised to learn I cannot pay with a card in 2023. There is an atm, with a horrible exchange rate and a huge markup outside. I didn’t have a debit card, and he threatened to call the police. So I had to use a credit card and incur huge fees. This $25 meal ended up costing me $40 because of intentional deceit. They did have a tiny sign in the corner saying “cash only” to cover themselves legally, but ethically I think the owner is sleazy, and needs to either be upfront about the lack of card acceptance by verbally telling customers, before they have ordered. Or move into the 21st century and accept...
Read moreWhat a perfect find it was! We had gotten to Budapest quite late so we knew it wouldn't be easy finding a good eatery after 10 pm. I came across this place in google and we took a 10 mins walk to get there.
How lucky for us that the place was run by a very hospitable Pakistani couple, who fed us the most delicious pizzas. We ordered their 4 cheese pizza and their anchovies pizza along with lemonades. The wood fired baked pizzas were amazing. The flavor was so on point. I honestly wasn't expecting it to be this good. The price was quite reasonable too. Loved every bit of it. The lemonade could've been better though but overall I can't complain. Loved loved loved it! If you are in budapest do give it a try.
Thank you for the great hospitality...
