Seriously, hands down. This is the BEST thai restaurant, I have visited since I went to Thailand. The food was *spectactular*, the service was TOP, atmosphere very nice, hostess was super friendly, serviceminded and gave good recommendations. We got the papaya salad, tom yum soup, fried shrimps and panang curry. I asked for an extra spicy papaya salad and normally, restaurants tend to not make it spicy enough, but this place got the memo (it was inches from perfect!). The hostess asked if it was OK, and when I said it could have been even a little more spicy, the hostess (and chef from the kitchen) invited me to come back again and get a new papaya salad on the house! That is the real thai hospitality 🙏🏽 This place got the Thai SELECT Award, which is awarded by the Chamber of Commerce in the Royal Thai Government, in 2022, and it’s not for no reason; they provide very good value for money (curries are only around 4000-4500 HUF ≈ 12 €) and the taste is just as in Thailand. I got flashbacks to when I visited Koh Samui last year. I cannot recommend this place enough! Tip: Ask for a table outside, there’s a road though, but on a sunny day, it is a great spot to chill, go for a lunch or dinner and people scouting! They have a central placement too, close to the downtop city. AND… try their homemade lemonades for the perfect freshness to the food. We tried the flavours: strawberry/mint and the elderflower/cucumber. They were so refreshing and with that homemade feel to them. Sweet, sour, sparkly and fresh! Yum. Definitely coming back here again when in Budapest. Well done. Family, couples, solo eating friendly. Go there for the ultimate thai experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

How can I describe my experience here? An absolute shambles would be a good way to start. They got the food orders wrong, different meals showed up at different times, my curry arrived 45 minutes before the rice, which came as egg fried instead of the jasmin rice that I ordered. They brought me vegan yellow curry instead of the chicken curry I ordered. My friend asked for a refill of his tap water approaching 10 times and each time she said okay I will bring it. It never arrived. Food was taken from our table before we had finished eating it, cutlery wasn’t present when the later meals arrived. One person finished their whole meal 45 mins before another started theirs. The staff were unapologetic and claimed to have given us “special treatment” by serving us the first glass of tap water (we had also ordered several glasses of coke). I asked to remove the service charge as we received bad service and they proceeded to aggressively argue and raise their voices as we asked about why the service charge couldn’t be removed. The manager came over and was incredibly rude and the waitress told my friend that she didn’t like the way she laughs. It was all very awkward and they may as well have sworn and shouted at us. Do not go here unless you want to receive unapologetically terrible service.

You have to pay extra for seaweed in soup, for rice on the side of the traditional dishes that already have rice!! I can’t believe it. Also, the Hungarian waitress was very pushy to order some more, and overly surprised that I ordered just an appetizer…. Some people have tiny stomachs! Also regarding the spicy level, I took fish patties like in the picture and it didn’t say any spicy level so I thought it’s not hot, but it turned out it’s much more spicy than the soup which had “level 1” spicy (which was not spicy at all). I couldn’t eat it because I can’t bear spicy food and thankfully they took it back because they didn’t let me know about this. I ordered afterwards a Pad Thai which was a normal sized dish, and I could finish it only thanks to my boyfriend. I would give to the food a 4/5 because the taste wasn’t anything remarkable, but because of the experience which matters a lot, just 2 stars. I heard that the Thai waitress was much better, from what I heard at other tables. 40 min pass and then we get the second dish that my boyfriend ordered to have after the soup. Level 2/3 of spicy they say, but if you don’t eat the chili, it’s not spicy at all. I would never return here.

We went for dinner and my friend is vegetarian and discussed options clearly. She ate into her spring rolls and didn't taste right so I tried it and was actually chicken. The waiter shared it is vegetarian and upon our insistance he took them to the chef. When he came.out he did not come to us, could see talking to staff and others, doing other stuff and about 6-7 minutes later we called him over to question it. He shared the chef is making vegetarian soring rolls now and shared will be on the house and said kitchen fault. I feel he should have come over and informed us of outcome and provide a genuine apology which was not the case and and ask her what we would like to do rather preparing another batch without disscussing it.I understanf different countries have different service styles and can't expect what I am accustomed to in London. However the overall service was the worst we had anywhere in Budapest so on balance with that the service was appauling. Even when we asked for water we had to ask again 10 minutes alter whilst they just spoke amongst staff. If I was not with my friend I would have walked out when she was served non veg food and they did seem to care that she ate meat. He didn't even pick up the tissue in which she taken the meat out and covered. When asked to take the tissue he did not seem to be happy. We questioned the bill as had no intention of leaving a tip as was an awful experience and service. However they had charged us service and that wasn't even at the bottom of the bill but in the middle so you think it was maybe food or drink you ordered which I think is dishonest. Again comparing to all other restaurants we ate at the service charge was at the bottom so i don't think it is the norm in Hungary to put service in the middle of food bill but just a move by this restaurant to rip people off.. Again if I was not with my friend I would have asked for that to be removed as I was not happy to pay for a service that didn't even take place. Would never go back and if you are vegetarian and think as many options and may be suitable, that will not be the...
