I was a bit disappointed with my visit. We went on a busy Sunday morning, but we found a table.

When I ordered, the lady told me it would take some time because it was crowded. I understood that, but everything came one by one, drinks, half of the food, coffee, the other half od the food, then finally the orange juices after everything was already finished.

I understand it was crowded, but for the prices they charge I expected better service and presentation. Instead, we got iced coffee and juice in plastic cups because there were not enough clean glasses. The lady taking orders was also not very friendly.

On the positive side, the girl who prepared the food was very kind. She apologized, served everything the right way and the food itself was really delicious. But the whole place felt stressful. Other people were also getting wrong orders, some were standing up and openly saying they were frustrated.

Maybe we just came at the wrong time and on a quieter day it could be much better. But if the staff cannot handle that many people, then it would be better to have fewer tables. For these prices I wanted my coffee in a nice cold glass that looks good, not in a...

A Must-Visit Café & Bakery with Heart, Soul, and maybe the the best Sourdough in Budapest!

Zuzu Café & Bakery is an absolute gem in Budapest! From the moment I walked in, I was charmed by the story behind its name, the owner named it after her adorable sausage dog, Zuzu, who can often be found soaking up love from customers. The logo and branding pay homage to this sweet pup, adding such a personal and joyful touch to the whole experience.

The sourdough bread is to-die-for honestly, some of the best I’ve ever had. But it’s not just the food; the coffee, the artistic decor, cozy ambience, impeccable cleanliness, and warm, attentive service make it a standout. As a woman, it was so inspiring to see a young entrepreneur pour so much passion into creating such a welcoming space and all the team have smiles!

Whether you're a local or just visiting, Zuzu CafĂ© & Bakery is a must-try. Delicious food, a great story, and a lovely atmosphere—what more could you...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As a traveller from London, I absolutely loved my experience at Zuzu CafĂ©! I first stopped by for an iced coffee and a strawberry Nutella croissant, both were so fresh and delicious that I had to come back again for brunch. This time I had the omelette with sourdough, and it was honestly one of the best brunches I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and beautifully fresh.

The service was brilliant, and the barista was so friendly and helpful, which made the visit even better. Prices are very reasonable too. And of course, a special mention to Zuzu the dog, such a sweet and happy addition to the café, guaranteed to make you smile!

Highly recommend this spot , I’ll definitely be back next time...
