the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. let's start with the fact that the arrival was late at 01:00 am. I warned about the check-in time on booking. when tired and hungry we arrived at the hotel, we were met by an girl employee at the reception. well, how did she meet us. she was talking to someone on the phone, laughing periodically and it didn't look like a work conversation - let me remind you, it was Saturday night at 02:00. when, a few minutes later, our arrival was still ignored, I said that we needed to check in. to which the girl stared at me as if I owed her money. in general, by the way, we weren't even told a simple good night or sorry for the delay. the receptionist said that she was solving the guest's problem over the phone. the funniest thing is that in the conversation a Polish swear word with the letter K…. was heard several times. I honestly assume that she saw Russian passports and decided to just torment us with a long check-in. Also, the problems did not end when the phone conversation was finally finished (somewhere around 20-25 minutes after our arrival, we finally checked in) Our check in also was a problem they didn’t have a rooms with a double bed as it was in booking reservation. There is no water or refrigerator in the room. You can’t buy anything at night, the bar is closed. The sockets are falling off. The bed is poorly made. Also, we had a room with one large bed, but they gave us three separate ones. I didn’t have the strength to swear at night. Another thing that was simply disgusting was that the cleaning lady broke into the room at 9 am, although I had locked the door. Why does your staff dare to break into guests’ rooms? Do you even know how hotels work? Don’t look, this is a hotel chain, only the name remains of Ibis. And even three stars in India will give this “hotel” a run for its money

The best part of the hotel is the location. Very central which is good. There is car parking but for the price you can find it anywhere longer than what was offered. Rooms are clean, but despite booking a couple room we were given room with two separate beds so after long journey we needed to go down and prove to the reception what we booked and wait again to get different room. The staff that was dealing with us was kinda speaking English, but not much, and kept chatting to each other in Hungarian in not so nice tone of the voice, so I can imagine they were pretty unhappy we requested the change for the room we actually paid for. AC somehow turned itself on during the night twice - I remember very vividly waking up cold to switch it off just to do that again couple hours later. For an ibis brand I was disappointed. It just looked very old fashioned and like it needed a major refresh in the rooms. Also it was definitely not quiet - people kept slamming doors in the middle of the night and if you left the window open you’d hear a lot of noise from the street. The terrace outside is a nice place for a coffee in the morning as there is a bar and you don’t need to buy whole breakfast package but just order at the bar.

I`m writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at ibis Budapest Heroes Square. I had previously stayed at this hotel in 2016 and found it modern and comfortable, which is why I chose to return during my recent trip to Budapest. Unfortunately, my experience this time was extremely disappointing. The first room I was assigned was outdated and noisy, making it impossible to sleep on the first night. After raising my concerns, I was moved to a renovated room. However, every morning at 6:15 AM, loud renovation work began, preventing me from getting any rest. In total, I was unable to sleep for three nights. To make matters worse, I was also briefly stuck in the elevator, which added to the overall distress of the stay. Due to these unacceptable conditions, I had no choice but to move to another hotel to salvage the remainder of my trip. I`m therefore requesting a full refund for the nights I stayed at your hotel during this period.

Disappointing Stay at ibis Budapest Heroes Square Our recent stay at ibis Budapest Heroes Square was quite disappointing and far from the standards we expected. Here are some of the key issues we faced: • Unprofessional Staff: The staff were unprofessional throughout our stay. The reception staff never smiled and were not welcoming. • False Advertising: There is an advert on the wall claiming that if there are any issues during your stay, the "smile team" will fix them within 15 minutes. This is simply not true. • Kettle Issue: The kettle in our room was not working. I had to go downstairs to request a new one and waited for nearly 20 minutes. Then, I had to go back to my room and bring down the broken kettle myself. • Room Cleanliness: The room was never cleaned properly. Dirty coffee cups remained in the room for days despite my complaints. On the fifth day, I left all the dirty cups (8 in total) and other items on top of my bed, hoping they would be taken away. They were finally removed, but no new cups or replenished tea and coffee were provided. • Soap Refill Delay: The soap in the shower was empty for six days before it was refilled. Although I had my own toiletries, this is the lowest standard I have ever seen within All Accor hotels. • Non-functional Amenities: The phone in the room did not work, and neither did the remote control for the TV. We eventually gave up trying to get these issues fixed and focused on enjoying our holiday despite the poor service. • Breakfast Quality: Breakfast was acceptable but had limited options. Sometimes, the food seemed recycled rather than fresh. • Language Barrier: The staff’s English proficiency was poor, and we often had to repeat our questions for them to understand. • Poor Treatment of Loyal Members: As an All Accor Gold Member, I expected better service. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had with such awful service, and I didn’t feel valued as a member. We did ask for a late check out 4 days prior to our departure, as it was available and as a Gold member I could request it, free of charge. I was told first that I needed to be charged for this. The reception team didn't even know what the different memberships entitles too. Then, they say that it was fine and that they were going to action it on the system. However, they didn't and although I re check with them, still no action on the system was done and eventually on the last day I was being called to leave the room, after which I really complaint and finally the let us check-out later. • No Follow-up for Feedback: I usually receive an email from the hotel to leave a review on the All Accor website. However, I never received this, which makes me think they avoided sending it to prevent negative feedback.

We definitely won’t be staying at this hotel in the future. We hope our next stay in Prague will be a better experience with our All Accor booking. We do not recommend staying at ibis Heroes Square. Find...
