The place is nice with friendly staff. Importamt notice anout pricing at the end

The woman who was on shift was really ni e and also knows multiple foreign languages (at least English and Spanish) very well, which is impressive and helpful.

Food is delicious and in good size portions. We had the bean gulash, chicken soup, chicken paprikash with gnocchi and pork paprikash with boiled potatoes, house salad, 2 slices of bread, beer and coffee. Bean gulash is delicious and creamy, made with pork. They also bring a spicy red pepper spread with it which adds to the flavor. The chicken soup is more classical bjt delicious option. The two paprikash dishes were very different as the sau e for the chicken was more thick with sour cream, while the pork one was more saucy and red with paprika. Both dishes were delicious and honestly enough on their own. The house salad is more like pickle salad with cabbage, pickled cucumbers and tomato. It was refreshing. Bread was regular sliced white bread. Draught beer was good and affordable. Coffee is definitely not a strong suite of the restaurant and i would not recommend getting it from there. Pricing: an important reason why we came to this restaurant was its seemingly more affordable prices. However, it is important to keep in mind that sides are not included in the price of a dish (i.e. chicken paprikash), however i would not consider su h a dish complete without the side (it would be just 2 pieces of chicken with sauce). Additionally there is a 10% service fee included in your bill at the end. As this was my experience in a previous restaurant, i believe it is normal or at least popular in Budapest. All of this brought the bill up to 22 000 florints, which is approximately 55 eur. For me personally this is a high price for lunch...

Cellar restaurant with tasty Hungarian home style meal at a good price. The place was renewed last year. There are 3 kinds of menus until 2o’ clock p.m., but they often run of the most popular dishes before 1.p.m. In 2023.January one menu is 1800HUF or 1900HUF what is quite affordable price for home meal (Cheaper and much better value for my money than our cantine restaurant at my workplace) . You can take the meals away, than you must pay extra 300HUF for boxes if you haven’t your own.

In the evening and at weekends you can’t order menu, so theirs prices are much higher. But as I know, recently if some menues left, you can order from them after 2p.m., but I am not pretty sure.

The best of the meals: chicken paprikash/paprika chicken with noodles, the Vadas(Hunter’s stew), roast pork with garnish (mashed potato with onion and cabbages), beef-stew with paprika with garnish (browned egg barley) . You can order breaded chicken or pork or cheese or mushroom every day. There is a tasty, quite rich soup every day: meat soup/bouillon,tomato soup with grated cheese, bean soup, goulash, ’Bakony scamp’ soup (soup with pork and mushroom), stuffed cabbage. Their fruit soup is not my cup of tea.

The portion’s are quite big and nutrient, so if you are on a diet it’s definitely not you place. The meals may a bit too fatty sometimes, but it’s quite typical for Hungarian kitchen. The curvy, black haired waitress speaks fluent English, Russian, and I think Italian, Spanish as well.

The only thing i do not prefer there is that our clothes will be...

I had just randomly come across this restaurant because I was extremely cold and hungry and when I saw it I decided to hop on in. The ambience has a bit of a gloomier vibe to it but not in a bad way, more of a cozier way. The food arrived at a decent pace and it was definitely worth the wait. I had gotten 2 salads alongside rice and meat mixed together and it was so good I had to get another plate of rice.

The menu options are few but very simple and easy to choose from. There aren’t any pictures though but if you like something shown on google reviews you can request that. The waiters were extremely friendly and very attentive. It was a decent sized place and an excellent place for groups of people but I noticed there were only 2-3 people working at one time so it did take a bit longer to get their attention for the menu and ordering food. Overall, nice ambience, great service and...

4 star because the menu looks amazing and the staff are super nice! HOWEVER- you can only order off the menu starting at 2pm and after. Before that, they offer a set menu of simple choices for the dishes of the day to help with the crowd and ease the pressure on the kitchen for the rush. We had a choice between veggie soup or chicken soup for starter, for main you could have grilled chicken breast with cheese, mushrooms, and ham or chicken breast with tomato and cheese, or traditional Hungarian pork liver, or a fried cheese or mushroom for vegetarian. We did get dessert because we were full. Price was good and we would definitely go back after 2 to order!
