LEROY — Restaurant in Debreceni járás

We ordered a pad thai and a malay wok, however when both dishes arrived they were clearly identical both in presentation and flavour. For this reason we were offered to send back the pad thai and replace it with another dish. We went for a burger. Additionally the Asian dishes were geniunely revolting, extremely salty and nothing like the original dishes they claim to represent. We left almost all the Asian food.

The burger was ok, but at ~6000ft this is not the expectation. 2*

Furthermore when it came to pay the bill they tried to give us the pad thai we sent back as a take-away and charged us for it even though it was sent back! Upon realising this we requested a refund which was refused and even a partial refund was declined.

The restaurant is empty on a Friday evening which should have been a red flag.

An easy avoid. Overpriced by a mile for bad-to-ok food. €70 for 4 dishes and drinks for 3 is a price in this region for exceptional food. This...

I’ve eaten at Leroy’s frequently since it opened and usually been satisfied with the food. But not this time. Not only was the food so over cooked and dry I couldn’t eat it but the waiter actually told me I was wrong and a tuna steak HAS to be this over cooked and dry. I apparently have no taste buds according to the waiter and no attempt was made to replace the food or even an apology which in my case would have been enough. Service and food were good but over priced. I understand that beef here in Hungary is expensive but it's almost USA prices. In any case, the service was good (it wasn't busy). Our waiter was patient and recommend a few items from the menu. The steaks were cooked well but a little bit on the rare side.
