Café Christine — Restaurant in Szentendrei járás

We had a lovely lunch here on our trip to Szentendre. The restaurant itself is in a perfect location, and we were thrilled to get a table on their outdoor terrace. Sitting outside was so pleasant—it’s a really nice, relaxed setting to enjoy a meal and watch the world go by.

The food was definitely the highlight. We tried a traditional Hungarian dish and it was delicious, very flavourful and clearly made with care. The portion size was generous and we felt the prices were very reasonable for the quality and the location.

The only area for improvement would be with the service. The staff weren't rude by any means, but they were a little brusque and could have been a bit more welcoming and attentive. A warmer attitude would have made the experience perfect.

Overall, we had a very nice time and would recommend it for the tasty food and beautiful outdoor seating. We'd happily come back on our next visit...

I have been too this place multiple times over the years, and always had pleasant experience. This time will be there last time I visit. We arrived with a small group, the drinks came fine, we waited a long time to get served, the waiter brought out the starters and main courses at the same time for 2 people (the chips were already cold for one meal). We waited another 15 minutes and our meals didn't come. We asked where our food was and the waiter said "what food?" We repeated the order of both meals. He went back and brought us one of them. When we asked again for the other, he said that we didn't order it. Service was included, and they didn't offer anything to compensate or make it better, charging still for the szóda water and ketchup. Disappointing, but at least it means I can visit other restaurants next time I'm in Szentendre and...

Came down here for a nice family lunch, but it didn't go as nice as we expected. First of all the service was not acceptable at all. We had to wait an hour to get our food. And let me tell you, the wait wasn't worth it!! I don't mind waiting if I get quality food afterwards but what we got was barely edible. I ordered an angus beef burger. While the burger had some kind of meat in it, it was surely not angus beef. I have never in my whole life ever ate such bad quality burger meat. The burger all in all was dry as the desert. Also, the steak fries were overcooked. Furthermore, my mother ordered a medium-rare steak, it was well done. My father and sister had better luck with their food, but they weren't smiling at the end of the lunch either. Will not be...
