From Sea — Restaurant in Szentendrei járás

Nestled in the charming town of Szentendre, "From the Sea" is a hidden gem that surprised me with its seafood offerings. Despite its landlocked location this restaurant manages to serve a good array of sea fish and other aquatic delicacies that transport your taste buds straight to the coast, including sea bass, sea bream, sardines, squid, tuna, salmon, mussels, shrimps, and trout. As a fish lover I couldn't wait to dive into the oceanic flavours and went for a Frutti Di Mare soup - It was good but my expectations were higher. Afterwards I've tasted the trout with truffles and this was simply... Wow! The trout was cooked to perfection with a crispy skin that gave way to tender flaky flesh. The earthy aroma of truffles complemented the fish beautifully, creating a harmonious and memorable combination. I also appreciated the staff's attitude, warm and welcoming without being intrusive, and happy to explain the menu and offer recommendations. "From the sea" became a must-visit restaurant in this area and I can't wait for the next visit to explore...

Anyone is looking for a place to eat at Szentendre, this is the place. EVERYTHING IS SO DELICIOUS PERIOD. Fish prawns mussels were very freshhhh. Our favorite is the grilled orata. Wondering how can they baked (not fry) but the skin is crispy. Paired with salad so so so good. Next is the mussels. We ordered both the beer and wine but we prefer mussels cooked in wine bcos its more sweet while the beer has this hint of bitterness. We ate with the bread, and the bread is soo gooood !!!!! THE BEST SEAFOOD AND FISH RESTAURANT IN HUNGARY!! Most seafood in Hungary is from bland, farm raised fish. Here, they use the tastiest fish Ive eaten in a landlocked country. The dishes are flavorfull, the herbs are grown in their own garden, there are no chemicals, artificial food enhancers. The staff is friendly and helpful. When the place is full, you have to be a bit patient for the meal as it is all freshly cooked, nothing premade however in the meantime you can enjoy one of their home made lemonades or fruit spritzers.
