Flatey Pizza — Restaurant in Reykjavik

Very disappointed. In case you’ve been wondering how the buratta salad from the menu looks like-here you have photo. You have to definitely work on it. Presentation sucks. Just to be clear I didn’t count on anything else on this salad cause menu said: rucola salad, straciatella cheese, cherry tomatoes, parmesan and basil dressing but come on I’ve got tons of salad and 4 HALF of cherry tomatoes, really ?! This salad cost 3000 isk! Garlic bread was sooo flat it was not garlic bread it was more like a flat bread. I wanted to get salad dressing separately I’ve got but I was charged extra I don’t know why cause the dressing comes with salad. I said to the waitress when she asked me how was it I said salad was disappointing she offered discount on that and guess what discount was just 10% kind of embarrassing… Work on it guys or delete it...

Update 2021: I change the 5 stars to 3 stars after going here again in June 2021. The reasons for this change are 2. I ordered 2 glasses of wine and they served to me in glasses of water. I had to complain about it since the ridiculous of the situation, I felt like a teenager when doesn't matter where to drink alcohol. After complain the waitress, she suddenly found 2 properly glasses of wine where to drink, but the intention to charge for 2 glasses of wine, which are very expensive, and serving them in glasses of water, was totally out of respect. The 2 pizzas we ordered was cold! Literally, they served us super quickly after ordering the pizzas, which is not bad, but we felt that the pizzas were not hot at all, was like they have prepared the pizzas before and served when ordered.

I still recommend this place, but the service...

Checked reviews these guys smashed it......sorry don't know how, was in the industry (Retired) Not one to leave bad reviews..walked in staff were chatting or on phones..... Someone nodded and I was served.I've had pizza Italy, USA and Australia to name a few......First up The Pizza was very fast......cost me AUS$40.00 for the pic below.....Crust looked good .....but doughy...Passata tasty. rest of the ingredients were few and far between 5 small pieces of Nadua sausage ( tried a piece by itself. Tasteless....the rest followed suite, flavourless 5 basil leaves and the pizza was not even cut.....for take away. Broaden your Horizons.... there is room for a lot of improvement. Tried to upload Pic .......Google said not....Sorry reflects on my credibility....At Best Bland at worst there's better one or two doors...
