Ruchi Dosa — Restaurant in Andhra Pradesh

Ruchi Lounge is a Newer addition to their existing Ruchi Dosa outlet. It's located on the first floor with pretty large comfortable seating area as name implies. Management boasts about having individual chefs for each type of cuisine, extra staff for hygiene/cleanliness, using fresh produce, and locally fetched ingredients. Went during lunch, hardly anyone, could be it is newly opened. They offer regular menu as well as fusion version. Though it is popular Dosa joint, they offer north indian, indina chinese etc. Tried what they recommended Matka Dosa, served and cooked with paneer sabji in matka as they claim. That serving is good for two persons with an extra order of plain dosa. Also tried their recommended version of sweet lassi. They waited while eating and trying to serve or suggest which they probably felt being very hospitable. Overall food is okay perhaps my biases to original style dosas vs this variety which contains different ingredients as I was told. They made gravy with cheese, which conflicted with the paneer curry taste IMHO. However, the unique thing about this place is, dosa is served with paneer curry in a decorated matka with dosa on top and salad sourrounding the matka in the plate. Salad was fresh. We recently tried this famous food truck on our way to the beach road. Setup on the busy streets of Chinna waltair, this food truck which is open in the evenings, offer a wide variety of dosa options to choose from. They have enough street side parking space available to accomodate around 4-5 cars at a time. You can stop by grab some yummy dosa while seated in your vehicle, they have enough service guys available to serve the food right to your vehicle. Also they have a few chairs available by the side too. Generally this place is pretty packed during the peak hours. We ordered our dosa and had to wait for like 20mins to get our order.

Do try their Pizza dosa and Schezwan Cheese dosa - really yumm. However I thought the pizza dosa would be a thicker version as they are going to load it with the veggies, but it turned out as a thin version with very much finely chopped veggies, which was hardly visible. But talking about the taste it was really good and we liked it, so no complains about it. They also have the to-go option available.

Overall this is a very good place to have some yummy dosas.

Located at Pedda Waltair, this place is a new addition to the city of Visakhapatnam. It’s a much sought after seating area of the famous Ruchi dosa. There is parking space for one four wheeler, otherwise you’ve to find a roadside parking. The ambience is okeish. The staffs are polite, courteous but need to show more professionalism. The pure veg menu boasts of a wide variety of dosas. There are biryani, tandoor and other preparations also present in the menu. However, found few dishes to be unavailable during lunch time. We’ve ordered buttermilk and matka dosa as per recommendation of the staffs. Dosa was served with a panner gravy. Found the dosa as above average fusion dosa but only thing which pinched is the price. Compared to the quality and quantity of the preparation, tariff was simply not in sync.
