Sahi Darbar has been my go-to restaurant since 2018, and for good reason. Despite not being a vegetarian myself—I am Assamese and have a deep-rooted love for fish dishes—this place has made me fall in love with vegetarian food. Here’s why Sahi Darbar has won me over:
Delicious, Well-Balanced Food
The food at Sahi Darbar is consistently delicious, with a perfect balance of spices and oil. Each dish is flavorful without being overwhelming, making every bite a treat for the taste buds. The kitchen staff clearly knows how to maintain the harmony of spices, offering a range of dishes that are tasty, comforting, and just spicy enough to be enjoyable without overpowering the natural flavors of the ingredients.
Quick and Efficient Service
One of the highlights of dining at Sahi Darbar is the minimal waiting period. Even during busy hours, the food arrives promptly, allowing you to enjoy your meal without unnecessary delays. It’s clear that the staff is well-trained and understands the value of their customers' time, ensuring that the dining experience is smooth and efficient.
Warm and Friendly Staff
The staff at Sahi Darbar is a standout feature of the restaurant. They are polite, always smiling, and carry a warmth that makes you feel welcome every time you visit. This positive and friendly attitude contributes significantly to the restaurant's inviting atmosphere, making it a pleasure to dine here time and time again.
A New Love for Vegetarian Dishes
I never imagined that a primarily vegetarian restaurant could change my food preferences. But Sahi Darbar's expertly prepared meals have done just that. Their vegetarian dishes are not only filling but also full of flavor, showing that vegetarian cuisine can be just as delightful as non-vegetarian options. The quality of food has genuinely shifted my taste, encouraging me to embrace vegetarian meals in a way I never thought possible.
Conclusion
Sahi Darbar is a gem for anyone who appreciates well-cooked food, prompt service, and a warm dining atmosphere. Whether you are a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian, the culinary excellence of this restaurant will likely win you over, just as it did for me. For over five years, it has remained my favorite spot, and I look forward to many more meals at this wonderful establishment.
If you haven't been to Sahi Darbar yet, it's definitely worth a visit—you might just find yourself loving...
Read moreA Memorable Dining Experience at Shahi Darbar Veg Restaurant, Guwahati
After completing our Basic Mountaineering Course at NIMAS in Dirang Valley, Arunachal Pradesh, my batchmates (Yogi Ankit, JP, Shravan, Shubham, Kamal) and I had the pleasure of dining at Shahi Darbar Veg Restaurant in Guwahati. The experience was nothing short of excellent!
From the moment we entered, we were warmly welcomed with complimentary snacks and a refreshing jaljeera drink, which set the tone for the evening. The ambience of the restaurant was inviting and beautifully designed, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere after our long journey.
The service was prompt and courteous, with the staff attending to every detail to ensure we had a pleasant experience. Now, coming to the food – it was simply outstanding! We ordered paneer butter masala, tandoori roti, dal, fried rice, and finished off with gulab jamun and coffee. Each dish was perfectly prepared, full of flavor, and served piping hot. The paneer butter masala was rich and creamy, while the tandoori rotis were soft and freshly baked. The dal and fried rice were equally delicious, and the gulab jamun provided the perfect sweet ending to our meal.
Overall, Shahi Darbar offers a delightful blend of great food, wonderful service, and a lovely ambience, making it a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a satisfying vegetarian dining experience...
