I recently had the pleasure of dining Anjappar Chettinad and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I stepped in, the warm ambiance and inviting aroma set the tone for what turned out to be a memorable meal.

The lunch spread was exceptional. The variety of dishes, especially the traditional Chettinad fare, showcased the rich flavors and culinary expertise that the restaurant is known for. The meals were impeccably prepared, with each dish bursting with authentic flavors that transported me to the heart of Chettinad.

The biryani ,meals was a standout. The fragrant spices, perfectly cooked rice, and tender pieces of meat created a harmonious blend of taste and texture. It was evident that great care and skill went into crafting this dish.

The service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to assist with recommendations. They ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch.

My second visit to Anjappar. This branch is perfectly located right at the T-junction of Brigade Road and Church Street. One has to climb a steep staircase from the road to the restaurant. The place is pretty spacious and clean, and air-conditioned. The interior decoration is interesting....there are two dhaba type stalls.. one a millitary canteen and another a kebab stall. The seats are comfortable and spaced well apart. The window seats look out to Church Str and Brigade Rd. But the bamboo screens makes the place private and also give a cooling effect. One thing that made me very happy was that there was no loud music which has become the trend everywhere else. So despite there being many customers chatting, it was just a dull hum in the background. The staff were genial and helpful. I loved whatever we ordered. Biryani, crab masala, Kerala parota, lime soda. But I must mention that the masala in the crab masala wasn't what I had expected, like something red and tomato based. What I got was a spinach based masala, very dark in color (not very appealing) and slightly bitter. But nonetheless it was good because I like spinach. Others might have a different opinion. The food in general is rich in spice and hot too, so light spice eaters take caution and make it clear while ordering. I would certainly come back here, and recommend it to all who love...

Worst management of restaurant operated by anjappar Got a threatening tone from the manager for requesting the reason for delay in order even if restaurant was having 3-4 where it can cater to 30+ tables along with waiters/cook being with capacity The reason was given after pushing a bit that we have closed the shutter and can’t cater. If they can’t cater the sitting client they should close down the shop much earlier.

Seat of 5 booked. Got one menu card as in it was a scarcity. How will people find the items to be ordered in big group

Order 2+ starters which got served within 2-3 minutes (non veg) with ok quality a little bit cold though. No chutney given. When asked for chutney one mini bowl was provided even after asking for two. Looks like cost cutting here as well.

No server can be seen near the table to order or any further request even though can be spotted near by areas making videos or gossiping. When you wave to get their attention it will get ignored without any importance. You need to shout full strength to get even for a water bottle.

Finally had to go down to the kitchen myself to check status of order where manager was trying to manager customers in my case with threatening tone.

Worst experience ever. Not going to any anjappar restaurant anymore. Had valued anjappar very hight but not anymore. Can’t give negative start...
