I recently visited Shandesh - Museum of Communication, and I must say it was a fascinating experience. The museum offers a unique and insightful journey through the evolution of communication technology.
The exhibits in the museum are well-curated and provide a comprehensive overview of how communication has evolved over the years. From ancient forms of communication like hieroglyphics and smoke signals to modern technologies such as telephones and the internet, the museum beautifully showcases the progress made in the field.
One aspect that impressed me was the interactive nature of the exhibits. Visitors have the opportunity to engage with various communication devices, allowing for a hands-on experience. It was exciting to try out vintage telephones, typewriters, and early mobile phones, gaining a deeper appreciation for the advancements we enjoy today.
The museum also provides detailed information about the inventors and innovators who played a significant role in shaping communication technology. It's a great place for history enthusiasts and anyone interested in understanding how communication has revolutionized human interaction.
The staff at Shandesh - Museum of Communication were friendly and knowledgeable, ready to answer any questions and provide additional insights. The museum itself is well-maintained and offers a comfortable and engaging environment for visitors.

The building itself is fascinating as it was the museum, museum road is named after- the original govt. museum that was established in 1865. If you're lucky you will run into philately collectors who will be very happy to talk more about their collection and it's specifics. When you're looking at the collections, try to find the theme because that will add to all the fascination For ex- they pick niche topics like- women warriors across the world in the 1800s or single stringed instruments from across the world.
