Paakshala is a delightful haven for discerning vegetarians seeking culinary excellence. With an extensive and diverse menu spanning South Indian, North Indian, and other cuisines, it's a gastronomic adventure waiting to unfold. The Open Butter Masala Dosa is a must try here, a sublime dish that will linger in your memory.
Beyond the tantalizing dishes, what truly elevates Paakshala is its impeccable service. The well-trained and affable waitstaff ensure your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. Even during peak hours, their efficiency and politeness shine through.
What's more, Paakshala boasts ample seating with around 35 tables, each thoughtfully furnished with at least three chairs, ensuring comfort and spaciousness for every guest.
The ambiance is a symphony of comfort, with soft, ambient music creating a soothing backdrop. The melody of famous Indian songs adds to the charm of this culinary haven.
Remarkably, Paakshala manages to strike the right balance between quality and affordability. When compared to other cafes, the prices here are surprisingly reasonable.
Regarding parking, I opted for the nearby MG Road parking area, which was convenient.
In summary, Paakshala is a culinary treasure that promises an unforgettable dining experience for vegetarians and should...
Read moreWhen we went - Lunch on a busy Friday afternoon. What we had - Dosa, idli vada, and curd vada in the restaurant and took home kaju masala. What we liked - The food was quite tasty. The plain dosas were one of the best we had in Bangalore. The prices were reasonable given the prime location of the restaurant. The service was quick for the South Indian dishes. What we thought could be improved - The sitting area inside feels cramped and hence stuffy. The tables are closely arranged so as to stack more tables in the small dining area. I guess the idea is to accommodate as many customers as possible in one go (the place gets super crowded in the afternoon), but it becomes uncomfortable to sit, eat, and move around. The person who served our table was not forthcoming. We had to ask to get a menu, search for him to place the order, remind him multiple times to get our parcel, and even request him (several times!) for the bill. Curd vada and kaju masala were more sweeter than what we have had in other places. Suits me, but might not be for everyone's taste.
Overall, the food here is excellent and worth the price. The service is quick. Good place to grab a quick bite, but not for a relaxed, catching-up-with-friends...

I ordered the following: • Paneer Manchurian – This was nice, the portion was great and flavor was nice. It went well as a starter as well as would have been good with a combination of rice or noodles. • Spring Roll – Crisp to the perfection. I really loved their spring roll and interestingly they sent it in a paper box in comparison to all the other things which were in plastic boxes. Reason? To maintain it’s crispness. Paper takes in the moisture. The fillings were good too. Really liked it. • Kaju Masala – Oh this was the winner! The best Kaju Masala I had in a long long time. I really loved the consistency of the gravy and also the amount of Kaju they had used in it. • Shahi Paneer – Mashed Paneer in a rich, semi spicy gravy. It was creamy and tasty. • 3 Roti, 2 Garlic Naan, 1 Butter Kulcha – The breads were nice. I loved the Kulcha the most and the Garlic Naan followed with it’s rich flavor. Overall good food for the very decent price. I believe 4 people can dine very well in about 1500 rupees. I definitely...
