I am a fan of how they serve the biryani, esp the boneless ones where the chicken is served separately. We can tell them the spicy level that we want and I being me, choose the spiciest. It did make me sweat, but I loved it thoroughly This Restaurant was started in the year 2006, at Koramangala, Bengaluru with the intention of serving authentic Andhra style food, using quality ingredients and the pure passion and love for what we do. Since its humble opening a decade back, Meghana is honoured to have spread across five branches in the city and is raring to cover all corners in the years to come. Meghana is proud to be a favourite among all kinds of masses which range from corporate people and college going students in the afternoons to families and singletons at dinner time. Those who are coming from Hyderabad please remember this place in MG road. You people will miss this place in banglore searching for biryanis. Most authentic and replicative biryani anyone will have in banglore that is same like hyderabadi. I got suggestions form banglore people that this is the most loved and spiciest they can handle. Do check this place. They may charge you 1600 for 7 people who can easily eat single biryani.
Sometimes I ordered a veg biryani after hearing a lot and seeing good reviews. The biryani was extremely spicy and just vegetables mixed with rice. There was no special aroma or taste you find in biryani. Didn't understand if it was Andhra style, Hyderabadi, Lucknowi or what. Woukd stringly suggest not to order Veg Biryani from Meghana Foods. The only good part was tue quantity (sufficient for 2 people) and the packaging This restaurant serves delicious Paneer 65. Not just this outlet but all outlets of Meghana Foods prepares this dish very well. I think it is the best Paneer 65 I have tasted anywhere across India. The quality and quantity of the dish is good. Alert: This dish...
Read moreAwesome Andhra biriyani, although the food was spicy. I went there with my friends for lunch on Saturday, so it was bit crowded. As soon as you entered one person standing there with a pen and notebook will write your name, and makes an arrangement according to the number of persons and sitting availability. We have to wait for only 5 minutes and got our table face to road side. But for a bigger group of 10-12 people it may take longer time depending upon the crowd. In the food menu there were lots of options for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Different types of starters, biriyani along with south indian meals ( the meals were served in Banana leafs) were available.Though there wasn't much variety of desserts. We have ordered Meghana special biriyani, chicken dum biriyani and butter milk. While choosing the starter we got confused and asked the person who was taking our order. That person suggested us the Mongolian Chicken as their special item. All the foods were delivered so quickly within 5-7 minutes. Now coming to the taste of food, both the biriyani s were just La-jabab. I personally liked the Meghana special biriyani. But the Mongolian Chicken was very spicy though it's taste good. Butter milk was average which actually reduced the spiciness. The quantity of the food was really very nice. We have asked them for an extra bowl of raita and they have provided also. The stuffs were very friendly and well behaved. Ambience was pleasant.Price was reasonable. Location was perfect and very easy to find. Hygiene was maintained properly. Moreover it's an awesome place for biriyani lovers and if you are in Bangalore you should visit and taste...
Read moreMeghana Foods is an Andhra restaurant located on Residency Road in Bengaluru. I visited this place recently and here is my review:
Firstly, the location is quite convenient as it is situated in the heart of the city. As an Andhra restaurant, I was initially expecting the food to be very spicy, but to my surprise, it was not as spicy as I had anticipated. This may be a good thing for those who are not accustomed to very spicy food. But I wanted the food spicy.
We stumbled upon this place as the opposite Nagarjuna was full, and I must say, it was a great find. The restaurant had a nice ambiance, and the service was excellent.
Moving on to the food, we tried a few dishes and I must say I was impressed. The Guntur Chicken, Meghna Special Chicken Biryani, and Pepper Chicken were some of the recommended dishes and they did not disappoint. The biryani was above average and had a good flavor to it. One serving was enough for two to share.
They had a good variety of non-veg dishes to choose from. The mutton dish we ordered had a great flavor, and it came with a lot of bones, which I personally did not prefer. However, if you're not a fan of bones, then it might not be the best option for you. They need to add more meat in their mutton dish.
In conclusion, Meghana Foods is a great Andhra restaurant to visit if you're in the area. The food is flavorful and not overly spicy, the biryani is above average, and there are plenty of non-veg dishes to try. The mutton dish was great, although it had a lot of bones, which might not be everyone's preference. Overall, it's a great place to visit for some delicious...
