🍸 Drinks – Creative, but Not a Knockout
Tried 4 drinks — they were good, not great. The standout for me? Surprisingly, the Oreo-based cocktail — quirky and different! Overall though, I felt the drinks lacked that “wow” factor that other new bars in the city are nailing right now.
🍴 Food – Decent Start
Tried the sausage appetiser — it was nice, but not memorable. The menu shows potential though, so might explore more next time.
👥 Staff – Could Be Sharper
Service wasn’t bad, but definitely room for improvement. A little more attentiveness and engagement would go a long way in elevating the experience.
💸 Price – Fair Enough
For 4 drinks + 1 appetiser, the bill came to around ₹5,000. Not too steep, but also a limited order — so take that with a pinch of salt.
🛋️ Ambience – Almost There
Loved the posters and vibe inside, but cutting a point purely for the washroom situation — being redirected to the common Southern Star Hotel loo really took away from the experience. Breaks the flow, especially for a premium-ish space.

📍Final Verdict: Bar Spirit Forward has potential, but a few tweaks in drinks, staff attentiveness, and amenities could take it from okay to awesome. I’d give it a solid 3.5/5 — rounded up for the Oreo...
Read moreI would have liked to have given this place a 5 star rating but their policy did not make sense to me. We went as a group of 8 on a Tuesday night. One of our party happened to be a 19 year old (soon to be 20 the next week)present with her mother and family and we were turned away despite us being very clear that she would not be drinking and that her parent is present. I was told that the 21 and over rule is an establishment imposed rule. Not a government rule. This would make sense as there are swarms of college kids in any pub or bar in Bangalore and they're most definitely not above 21. Furthermore the karnataka excise act allows persons of 18 and over to purchase alcohol so it would make sense that 18 is the legal age. If it were a weekend or an otherwise busy night I would still be able to understand their refusal to serve us. But rigidity and inflexibility to this level, given the above circumstances, seemed a bit excessive.
We managed to have one drink each before the 20 year old and her mother arrived and those drinks good. Only managed to try the spices chickpeas ( good) and veggie tots ( average). Would recommend to anyone and everyone over...
Read moreFirst of all this is a small place with relatively dim setting . I walked in early around 5.30 pm . I felt a little reluctance in being offered seating. I was told wait for 10 minutes even if it is at the bar counter. All tables booked I was told . But the place was empty . Anyway got a bar stool and I ordered a rum cocktail . Felt it was ok but too limey. Then ordered a Whiskey cocktail . Terrible drink . Never heard of Laphroaig being mixed into any good cocktails . Returned the drink. Here's the thing, if you know good cocktails this place at best is above average for drinks. The ambience too. If you get taken in by presentation only , then maybe you will like this place . It's an ok place . Although I repeated my first drink it was still too sour . I also tasted another cocktail mixer . It was sugary . Maybe good for people who like cocktails that are sweet . If you are looking for a cocktail with layered tastes ,you could be disappointed. I was there for an hour . The place was still empty when I left . I fail to understand what the fuss was all about . Maybe it is to create a perception that getting a table here is not easy. Not a...
