MTR — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Having been a patron of this establishment for years, I recently visited for lunch and was deeply disappointed by the experience. The place was bustling with crowds and hype, but not in a positive way. Instead, the lunch rush seemed chaotic, with tokens required for entry and a significant wait for seating and service.

What was once a reliable spot for any meal now seemed to struggle with the transition to lunchtime offerings. Despite the long wait and anticipation, the menu lacked the breakfast items I had come to enjoy over the years. The staff appeared overwhelmed and failed to provide adequate service.

The quality of the food itself was mediocre at best, with each dish leaving much to be desired. Considering the limited selection and underwhelming taste, the hefty price tag of ₹400 (inclusive of GST) felt unjustified. Even after consuming just a couple of items, the addition of soda seemed unnecessary as the portions failed to satisfy.

To add to the disappointment, basic amenities like tissue paper were noticeably absent. It's perplexing to see a restaurant that once held such esteem fall short in such significant ways. Overall, this recent lunch experience left me questioning the decline of a once well-known...

But the quantity is diminishing earlier with meals bisibele bath was part of it now you have to pay extra 30 to have it along with ur meal which itself cost 180rs and the meals taste is as equal to any other fast food service hotel which gives u same poori meal for 80-100rs , so another rs 80 is brand loyalty which we are paying for MTR 😇

Anyways MTR pls look into it and take care of your brand legacy and legacy client who come back again and again Price quality is not at all worth

Atmosphere they don’t have great ambience cleaning and hygiene needs to be improved pls add more ppl for quick cleaning and adopt modern cleaning techniques and update urself in these way too instead of only focusing on updating ur price and menu

Now i understand why few outlets were closed in legacy locations

This MTR should be named Messed up Tiffin Room. Here's what's wrong.

Hygiene: the less said the better the place is as unclean as a stable. The service folk are ot encouraged to maintain hygiene at every level.

Quality of food: forget about MTR standard, this place is the worst South Indian restaurant I have ever been to. The masala dosa was dry and stale. The stuffing was possibly from yesterday. The badam milk contained many layers of fat floating over each other and tasted funny. The vada was just mediocre.

Service: 24 mins of wait outside and 18 minutes of wait inside the restaurant after getting a seat. The food came in bits and many items didnt come even after 40 mins. I asked them to cancel the remaining items when the vada magically appears.

Warning: if you eat here, you will never eat at an MTR again. Who is in charge here? I am not heading to any MTR till the Metro phase 7 is launched. This sorry excuse for an MTR has scarred my culinary preferences for...
