As an avid lover of science and innovation, I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Visvesvaraya Museum in Bangalore, and I must say it was an absolute delight. This review aims to update everyone about this gem of a place.

Firstly, the museum's location is excellent, easily accessible and surrounded by beautiful greenery. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and welcoming ambiance, making you eager to embark on your scientific journey.

The exhibits at Visvesvaraya Museum are thoughtfully curated and provide a fascinating insight into the world of engineering, technology, and the life of Sir M. Visvesvaraya, a renowned Indian engineer and statesman. From interactive displays to well-preserved artifacts, the museum manages to engage visitors of all ages.

One of the highlights for me was the section dedicated to the history of engineering in India. It offers a comprehensive overview of the country's engineering achievements throughout the ages, showcasing the brilliance and innovative spirit of our ancestors.

Moreover, the museum doesn't just focus on the past; it also emphasizes contemporary science and modern technologies. The robotics and space exploration exhibits are particularly captivating, allowing visitors to glimpse into the cutting-edge advancements shaping our future.

Another standout feature is the attention to detail in presenting Sir M. Visvesvaraya's life and contributions. The exhibits pay homage to his exceptional work in various fields, including irrigation and urban planning, leaving visitors inspired by his legacy.

The museum staff deserves special mention for their knowledge and enthusiasm. They are always ready to assist and answer questions, ensuring that visitors have a fulfilling and educational experience.

Families and school groups will find the Visvesvaraya Museum a perfect destination for learning and discovery. The engaging exhibits are designed to ignite curiosity and a passion for science in young minds.

Lastly, the museum's maintenance and cleanliness are commendable, enhancing the overall experience of the visit.

In the subject category it is is one of the coolest & amazing muesems in India, science & related field chaps can find it way more interesting but it is not limited to science chaps only as science is the daily part of every one's lives. It's a multi story muesem with engine hall & dinosaur's replica on G floor, Science Fun & Electro techno hall on 1F, Space & Biotechnical on 2F, BEL Electronics & Kids Science on 3F and a cafeteria on 4F. What i loved the most is that the science behind functioning of the things which we use on daily basis are explained really well, like, How does a ball pen work/functioning of a zipper/Lock & key mechanism etc. Every floor amuses the mind in either ways. Replica of Wright's Brothers Flyer is also displayed perfectly. Dinosaur on the enterance of engine hall amuses the kids very much 😁. Apart from it there are some jet burners, working models depicting the ancient mankind harnessing wind/water energy, automobile engines, working explainations of auto components, lathe etc. There are so many things to watch and lesrn here and i cant explain each of them in detail. Wright brothers flyer simulator is a must to do activity in the engine hall. Space hall is best and is a great place to know about India's Space Programme in details. Satellites, rockets, launch vehicles, antenna's, launch pad are displayed beautifully. All the halls are full with people except Microbiology hall. Fun science hall have different science phenomenon's explained with person interactive working models. This is the place where people of different age groups can be seen interacting and learning through fun techniques. Electronic hall also portrays chip assembly process, robots, telecommunication system through interactive models. Overall it is a must visit museum for the people in and around bengaluru. Restrooms are available on each floor & Parking facility is also available. Wearing face mask is compulsary as per the Covid related SOP. You will given disposable gloves right at the enterance. The entry ticket is Rs 75 per person and mode of payments are cash/card/UPI. To explore the museum one may require ample amount of time hence you have to schedule your clocks in a right way. Apart from the science display this museum has in house shop where you can buy books, science toys, robotics kits etc. There are some special shows also like 3D show, science show, star show etc which runs as per the scheduled time. Some of the informative pictures are attached herwith. Do check few videos too attached...

This is one of the best science museums I have visited till date. It is a beautiful and well-maintained place with a lot of scientific artifacts, information and fun activities present.

The entry ticket for adults costs Rs 95 per head while children below 5 years of age doesn't require any entry fee. For organised student groups, ticket cost is Rs 35 per head while for govt or municipal school, ticket cost is Rs 10 per head. Shows like Science on a sphere, Taramandal, Science show, 3D show happen at specific times. Extra ticket has to be booked inside for seeing these shows but the cost is nominal. I have attached the picture of the ticket cost and the timings of these shows below.

The ground floor has the Engine hall block where a model of a moving dinosaur is present. Here, you will find the models of spacecrafts, rovers, engines, turbines, pulleys, inclined plane, printing machine, camera, clock and several other interesting mechanical models. You can also witness the practical demonstration of the models. The first floor has the Electro Technique and the Fun Science blocks. You will enjoy the Fun Science block and a lot of time can be spent here for performing the various fun science activities. Both kids and adults will love this block. The second floor harbors the Biotechnology and the Space Science blocks. You will be amazed to see the beautifully designed models and artifacts in these blocks. Also you can participate in the practical demonstration of the models to better understand the mechanisms. The third floor is having the Hall of Electronics and Kid's Science blocks. The hall of Electronics have several electronics and biomedical models and also some models displaying sustainable city and energy generation. Here you will find several fascinating models where you can learn the scientific concepts in a fun and exciting way. The Kid's Science blocks have several fun activities where kids, and even adults, will love spending more time. The 4th floor has a cafeteria and the terrace which will offer you a great view of the buildings.

Lift facility is there and drinking water facility and cloak room available near the reception area. Also sitting areas are present at many spots inside the premises. It is easily reachable and the nearest metro station is Cubbon park. Overall, I just loved and enjoyed visiting here with my family and have learnt a lot of scientific concepts in a fun way. This museum is a must visit with family, friends and kids and you can easily spend the...
