Finally found an occasion to visit Barbeque Nation. Visited post lockdown for lunch.
With obvious culture, placing Barbeque pot on your table and followed by serving veg/non-veg starters. They gave complimentary drink and we chose to have virgin mojito.
Veg starters - harabara corn, mushroom, pineapple, watermelon, paneer, crispy corn, Cajun spiced potato (served on the plate) Non veg starters - Grilled Chicken & Fish. Mutton seekh kabab, kalmi, kabab & chilli chicken (served on the plate) In veg I tried, crispy corn, grilled pineapple and cajun spiced potato. Crispy corn was great as it had onion fried in it and giving slight sweet and mild taste. Grilled watermelon was also good, especially when it got more barbequed got that smoky flavour. In non veg, mutton seekh kabab, grilled chicken and fish were bland in 1st serve, but when I asked them to make slightly more spicy, it gave a really great essence of spiciness.
Kalmi was smoked to the consistent as it has to be. Chicken texture was soft and was marinated to the apt. Chilli chicken was served, but I felt it wasn’t tasting chilli flavour, rather it tasted like chicken manchurian. Because, it was giving huge hint of tangy and sugary taste. Chicken kabab was out of the world. Chicken was soaked in masala as needed. The outer layer was quite crispy. Chicken texture was great and cooked properly. Moreover, it was served especially fresh and hot. I enjoyed thoroughly. I asked to repeat, chicken & fish tandoori as well as chicken kabab.
When it comes to main course, 4 non veg gravy(chicken, fish, egg & mutton), chicken dum biryani, chicken chow mein soup. 3 veg gravy (veg kofhta, black channa & paneer). Plain rice, all types of salad & curd rice. They have roti & naan as well.
Chicken dum biryani was tasting good, but wasn’t hot. I really relished mutton gravy. It was thin and meat in the gravy was mushy. It was going great with roti and plain rice.
In desserts - they have separate stall for varieties of kulfi. Vanilla & Strawberry ice cream, brownie, two sweets, two varieties of pastries & fruit tart.
We tried pan kulfi, I felt it’s same as eating pan. Then with vanilla ice cream and gulab jamun. Also, fruit tart. All these were upto the mark.
They serve liquor as well and of course it is additional charges.
The waiter (forgot his name) who took care of our table, was so humble and caring for the customers. I really thank him and appreciate for his continuous involvement to serve his best to the customer satisfaction.
At last, it was a great experience. Best place for foodies. As it’s a covid situation, management has taken at most safety measures to serve their customers.
Note: Due to COVID-19, if you feel safe then visit. Wear mask and carry...
Read moreBarbeque Nation needs no introduction. Veggies and non-veggies equally love the place for it’s sumptious buffets and live, unlimited BBQ on your table. It’s the ultimate go-to destination if you are a foodie. The wide, sumptous spread, the live grill, the drinks and the ambience at BBQN are an absolute hit among foodies all across India. The name is so synonymous with a great dine-out experience, when someone says that he/she had been to BBQN, the listener won’t not need to ask another question.Such is the name for Barbeque Nation. Being a weekday, we expected a lesser crowd and a better ambience in addition to a slightly lesser bill too!The internet would tell you that you would need a prior reservation for BBQN. Trust them! We did not bother with a prior booking assuming that the place would certainly be free during weekdays, and we were wrong. weekend or weekday, if you don’t have a reservation, be ready for a wait. The interiors are comfortable, with a scoop to hold a grill on each table. There are three floors for seating. Opt for the rooftop floor, that’s more airy, spacious and feels refreshing if you visit during the daytime. It also lends that open-air grill feeling which refreshens your spirits further. There are no ala-carte items. Once you are seated, you would be asked your preference(veg or nonveg) and your choice of complimentary drinks. You have everything from beer to lime soda on the list of complimentary drinks. Once you have put your preferences forward, sit back and relax. An iron crate of charcoal would be placed on the scoop on your table and your live grill would be ready. An army of servers would then keep replenishing your grill with skewers after skewers of yummy BBQs. In addition to the standard spread, you would also be served with signature dishes which are not on the menu. Every single variety is exceptionally tasty, and I need not mention that by the time we had satisfied ourselves with the starters, we were already so full that there was no space in our tummies for the main course! The taste for the main course items was also good, but I doubt how many people would actually reach that stage! As I observed, most of the people jumped to the desserts directly after the starters! The spread for desserts is equally intimidating - you five varieties of pastries, three varieties of ice cream, three varieties of traditional sweets and fresh fruits. Whew!We were literally breathless when we finally laid our dessert bowls to rest. You wont find such a great bunch of friendly, hospitable people who make...
Read moreI am writing to share feedback about the disappointing dining experience my family and I had at your Indiranagar outlet on January 1st. While we were looking forward to enjoying a pleasant meal, several issues severely impacted our experience: Delayed Seating: Despite booking a table for 2:30 PM, we were seated only at 2:55 PM. This delay occurred even after informing your team that we had senior citizens with us, emphasizing that timely seating was essential. Slow and Incomplete Service of Starters: Starters were kept on grill very late, and initially only chicken and vegetables were brought out. We had to constantly remind the staff to serve fish, prawns, and sheek kebabs, which took an unreasonably long time to arrive. Cold Starters: mutton Sheek were served, they were cold, which was disappointing and not up to the quality standards we expected. Unavailability of Special Dishes: We were informed that turkey was a special addition to the menu for the day on 1st Jan 2025. However, it was served only at 4 PM after repeated follow-ups, and only two plates were available. Cleanliness Concerns: Beverages were served in glasses that were wet and dripping, which raised concerns about hygiene and cleanliness. Unhelpful and Unresponsive Staff: The service team was not attentive. For instance, a simple request for green chutney was fulfilled only after waiting for an hour and multiple reminders. The staff appeared more focused on collecting payments than on providing a quality experience to customers.
This experience was far from the high standards we expected from your restaurant, especially on a special occasion. I hope you will address these concerns to ensure that such lapses in service, cleanliness, and customer care...
