Bharatiya Jalpan is a vegetarian restaurant located at 100 feet road, Indira Nagar which is close to Vapour and Sony Signal. Since the restaurant is located on the main road, any new person would be able to locate it easily.

They have two floors when it comes to dining. They also have outdoor seating arrangement. It is basically a bunglow converted into a restaurant.

Firstly, the two gentlemen who takes the orders in the billing counter needs to :

Smile and greet the customers well ( And not be arrogant !)

Know their product.

Parking for two wheeler is limited as it can accommodate around 5-7 two wheelers. For four wheeler, one has to find a place near by.

For hygiene standards, they are surely not up to the marks. Had a glimpse of their kitchen staffs and no one was wearing masks, let's not go into wearing gloves and hairnet... so don't think they follow other protocols seriously. You see, it's not always about big restaurants following safety and hygiene standards religiously. Infact most of them lack when you analyse it closely. There are indeed some street food vendors who follow all safety guidelines and you always get to see them with masks, hairnet and gloves and offers sanitizer. Should the management needs to be questioned?

When it comes to food, they are good and serve the best sweets and savoury one can find in Bangalore. The quality of chats and Parathas are good.

When it comes to pricing, it's just on the higher side! For example, one piece of aloo paratha or Kulcha would cost you around 170 with taxes. Clearly, there are other places where one can find the same item for half the price. A plate of poori sabji comes to around 200. Food quality is good but not everyone would be a repeat customer with such pricing.

Tea served here is really good if you are a Masala chai lover!

When you order any takeaway, they charge Rs. 20 for a simple paper bag where they have their logo on it.

Lastly, for any team meeting, please find a place where there are no customers around. That's basic...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at jalpan, and I must say, it was a truly memorable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. Here are four reasons why I highly recommend this restaurant:

Exceptional Cuisine: The food at jalpan is simply outstanding. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor and made with the finest ingredients. From the perfectly cooked steaks to the creatively crafted vegetarian options, the menu catered to a variety of palates. The presentation of each plate was a work of art, and the attention to detail in every bite was evident.

Ambience and Atmosphere: The restaurant boasts an elegant and inviting atmosphere. The interior design is tastefully done, with attention to lighting and comfortable seating arrangements. The soft background music created a relaxing ambiance, allowing for enjoyable conversations without being overpowering. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or having an intimate dinner, the setting at jalpan is perfect.

Impeccable Service: The staff at jalpan were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the menu, offer recommendations, and ensure that all our needs were met. The waitstaff exhibited professionalism and were always prompt in their service. Their genuine passion for hospitality truly elevated the dining experience.

Attention to Detail: It was evident that jalpan pays great attention to every detail. From the perfectly folded napkins to the stylish table settings, no aspect was overlooked. The little touches, such as the amuse-bouche before the meal and the complimentary palate cleansers between courses, added a touch of elegance. The chef's creative flair and dedication to quality were evident in every aspect of the...

If you're in Bangalore and craving the authentic taste of North Indian chaat, then Bhartiya Jalpaan is the place to be. This charming eatery has gained a reputation for serving some of the best North Indian chaat in the city, and it’s a must-visit for anyone longing for a traditional and flavorful chaat experience.

The moment you step in, you’re greeted with the tantalizing aromas of various chaats being freshly prepared. Bhartiya Jalpaan offers a wide array of chaat options, each crafted with care to bring the flavors of North India to your plate. Another standout dish here is the dahi puri, where crispy puris are topped with creamy yogurt, spicy chutneys, and garnished with sev, giving you a perfect blend of textures and tastes. The ragda pattice is equally delightful, offering soft potato patties smothered with spicy and tangy ragda, and topped with chutneys.

The place’s lively ambiance, combined with the delicious, authentic chaat, makes it feel like you’ve stepped right into a North Indian street food stall. come from a place where you can find chole bhature every 100–150 meters—whether it’s a street vendor or a high-end restaurant, everyone serves it, and I’ve tried almost all of them. So when I moved to Bangalore, I naturally started hunting for the same dish here. And to be fair, I’ve found a few places that serve decent chole bhature. But today… today was something else. I had the worst chole bhature of my life, courtesy of Bhartiya Jalpan, Indiranagar. Honestly, you’ve earned that title. I was okay with paying more for less quantity and even less quality—but the taste? Absolutely terrible. Finishing that plate was a challenge in itself. So here’s a word of advice to anyone planning to try chole bhature at this place—don’t. Just don’t. You’ll regret it. I genuinely request the restaurant: please stop serving chole bhature. You’re ruining the soul of what should be a rich, flavorful experience. Also, while I’m no professional chef, I do enjoy cooking. My homemade version might not be authentic, but trust me, it tastes infinitely better than what you’re serving. If you’re curious, I’d be happy to let you try it. And just a note—giving the chole a dark color doesn’t make it flavorful.
