CHIN LUNG BREWERY INDIRANAGAR — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Considering that Indiranagar would have ample places to eat at, Chin lung should NEVER be your option. We visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon and came back with extreme disappointment. The place was highly unclean, with certain sections closed because they are still cleaning the place. I dont understand, if you are still cleaning the place at 2pm, why would you even open the place at 12pm. The seating areas - the chains, the tables, the cutlery were dirty. They have no bifurcation of non-smoking and smoking zone, which makes every place smoking area. Plus its not even open enough to accommodate smoking area. Even in broad daylight the place is quite dark. Looks like they have been saving a lot on the electricity bill. No fans, no enough lighting. When you looks at their videos online, the "people" seem to be looking this place. And you should it is just an unnecessarily overhyped. The staff is also not polite. In food options, most things were not available and the server could barely help with anything as they still appeared on the app. Bad veg options as well and very dry. If you want to have basic beer and french fries, then you can visit here. Otherwise, not a place for food. And I could even see most people were only smoking and ordering beer with fries, and maybe a pizza to satisfy more hunger. Service is super slow, and feels as if they are highly disinterested in serving.

Why have you opened the place if most of the food items are not available, but it still appears on the menu, and your servers are disinterested in serving.

I recently visited Chin Lung Brewery in Indira Nagar and had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment you step in, the place impresses with its vibrant energy and stylish rooftop ambience. It’s spacious, well-lit, and offers a relaxed yet upbeat vibe—perfect whether you’re catching up with friends or out on a casual date night.

Let’s talk about the beers—they brew their own, and you can tell the difference in quality and freshness. I tried their wheat beer and IPA, and both were excellent. The wheat beer was smooth with fruity notes, and the IPA had that perfect hoppy punch. They even offer tasting trays if you want to try a bit of everything before deciding, which is a nice touch for beer lovers.

The food here is another strong point. We ordered a mix of Indian and continental starters, and everything was flavorful and well-prepared. The chicken ghee roast and paneer tikka stood out—they were perfectly cooked and generously portioned. Their menu has a wide variety, so there’s something for every palate.

Service was spot-on. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, and they were happy to recommend drinks and dishes based on our preferences. Even though the place was busy, our orders arrived quickly and everything was served hot and fresh.

Customer service : I agee with the last guy who wrote comments, worst. My first interaction with the staff was annoying. She asked if I smoked, I relplied in negation and she redponded by saying proudly that the entire place was smoking and went silent. So what shall I do next, shall I leave the place, will u provide me seating on top floors or do u have other suggestion ? But no reply Then came another staff who placed us in a cozy corner with mininmal effect of passive smoking.

Food came so late, we ordered beer tasters, which came 5 mins after the fries were served, the fries came 15 mins after the order. How lame can it get. Were u preparing beer too ? Fries : uneven and oily. Other food came late as well.

Pizza : 3 stars was decscent Momos Chicken : 4 stars descent No sauce or myonies served with momos. What nonsense. Ambience : was good. Nice piece of architecture. I like their open area with tree around and just next to it there is dark and low hight seating area which seema.paradoxical to the entire place.
