My recent visit to Vapour in Indiranagar, Bangalore left me thoroughly disappointed. The overall experience was far from what I expected, and I cannot recommend this place.

The first issue I encountered was the lackluster customer service. The staff appeared disinterested and unresponsive throughout my visit. It was evident that they had no interest in ensuring a pleasant dining experience for their patrons.

What shocked me even more was the unprofessional behavior exhibited by the manager and his bouncers. Instead of addressing my concerns or attempting to resolve any issues, they resorted to intimidation tactics. It was a clear abuse of power, and I felt disrespected and unwelcome.

To make matters worse, when I tried to express my dissatisfaction, the manager accused me of playing the "North Indian South Indian" card. This was an absurd and offensive claim, completely unrelated to my genuine complaints. It showcased the manager's lack of professionalism and ability to handle customer feedback.

The cherry on top was the pun you mentioned in your request. It felt forced and out of place, considering the negative atmosphere and unprofessional conduct of the staff. It did nothing to improve the overall experience and only added to the disappointment.

In conclusion, Vapour in Indiranagar falls far short of expectations. The subpar customer service, unprofessional behavior from the manager and bouncers, and the overall negative ambiance make it a place I would strongly advise against visiting. This place really seems like it was a vogue at one point of time but is now all but a shadow of its past. We went on a weekday lunch and the place was fully empty; we sat on the rooftop and the ambience instead of looking inviting or even celebrating the view just looked plain abandoned, and the seating by the view (which has been covered by an opaque covering at eye level, I don’t get why) only comprised of benches without a backrest. Coming to the food, we had the Beer Battered Onion Rings, Mushroom Duplex, Cheesy Potato Fingers and Chicken Wings for Starters; and Jamaican Jerk Pizza, Peri Peri Chicken Pizza and Spaghetti Bolognaise for Mains in addition to some mocktails. This was one department that did not disappoint and in terms of both presentation and taste, all that we had tasted just about right and while none of it may have been all too exceptional, there wasn’t really anything I’d have to complain about them either. The service however, seemed surprisingly slow especially given the place being fully empty when we went, so contrary to the food, it was too more in line with the dilapidated vibe of this restaurant like its ambience. We were using the Dineout GIRF 50% discount so the prices did not hurt much, but this isn’t a place I would otherwise like to visit (with or without discount), unless they get the atmosphere, vibe and service...

Absolutely Pathetic Experience – A Total Letdown!

Vapour Pub & Brewery used to be one of the OG breweries in Bangalore, right after Toit. I had some fond memories here, but my recent visit on a Sunday was nothing short of a disaster.

I had booked a table for 3 people in advance. Guess what? After reaching, we were informed that their microbrewery was shut! On a Sunday, in Indiranagar, at a place that proudly calls itself a microbrewery! I specifically went there for their signature craft beer “Sandy,” but there were zero craft beer options. Not even a heads-up during booking. Absolutely misleading.

The service? Horrendous. We waited for 30 minutes – had to call the staff multiple times just to get someone to take our order. And when they finally did, what do they serve first? Whiskey. Not the food, not even starters. Just alcohol on an empty table while we sat clueless.

It took another 45 minutes (and several follow-ups) before any food arrived. And when it did, the staff literally dropped it on the table and vanished. Zero courtesy, zero professionalism.

And to top it off? They had the audacity to charge ₹680 as a service charge. For what service, exactly?
