Bhartiya Jalpan on New BEL Road has a very nice and inviting ambience, making it a good place for a relaxed outing with friends or family. The seating is comfortable and well done. Among the dishes, the Rabdi Jalebi is a superb dessert and highly recommended. The paneer preparations are excellent – fresh, soft, and full of flavor. The Paneer Chilla in particular is a must-try and stands out as one of the best items on the menu. The Bhatura was nice, but the chole were disappointing and not up to the mark.
One of the downsides here is the slow service, which many others also seem to experience. Prices are on the higher side for the portion sizes, so keep that in mind. Another challenge is parking – it is very difficult to find a spot nearby and you may have to park much farther away, which can be inconvenient.
Overall, if you’re a paneer lover or have a sweet tooth for Rabdi Jalebi, this place is definitely worth visiting for the food and ambience. Just be prepared for slow service and...
Read moreWe have visited this New BEL road outlet of Bharatiya Jalpan a few times and found it to be below average for chaats and sweets. They do have footfall by that’s probably because there are no other options for chaats in the area- since their food quality is sub par, and price point extremely high. The Jalebi with rabdi was not at all good. They only serve a single tikki in their aloo tikki chaat and price it at Rs. 159. Kailash Parbat and Haldirams serve much better quality and quantity (around Rs. 125-135 for the same dish, but with two tikkis). What’s annoying is that even with barely any occupancy, they have excruciatingly high times for the chaat items. The filter coffee they served us was very light. They definitely need to improve on their food quality, portions, and service if they want customers to...
Read moreThis place was on our bucket list from ages. And when we finally went there it was a disappointing experience.
We ordered: Samosa chat - It was just hot but not tasty. The masala was watery.
Papdi Chat - This was the best dish We ordered. Dahi was fresh and good. Tasted good overall
Pani Puri - The Pani was probably kept in the fridge because it was so cold that we didn't even get to taste the dish properly due to the coldness.
Pav Bhaji - Tasted okay. It was not that fresh.
The service is a bit slow. After waiting at the counter for a while we were told to take seat as it would take some time. But the minute we sat down they called us saying our order is ready.
The food is expensive and the cost does not...
