One can show this place as an example of converting cars shed in to beautiful cafe! Well, Cafe Aira is new add-on to the residents of Basavanagudi. This month old cafe started by 2 sisters who has good knowledge of culinary. This cafe offers basic dishes of Italian, Mexican and Lebanese with some influence of Indian. The Indian influence would be completely based on people advise. We Indians prefer Indianised in everything and don't appreciate authentic stuff! The place is nicely done with ceiling filament lights, vertical garden pots and long tables and open kitchen. I was there along with my friend for lunch and tried few dishes like Jalapeño Poppers, burrito bowl, Jumbo Italian Sandwich and Banana Nutella Waffles. Among all, Jumbo Italian Sandwich was the showstopper. The Sandwich was made with Panini bread and stuffed with premium vegetables and tasted incredibly good. Jalapeño poppers were decent and made like something we do at home by looking at recipe. Whereas, the burrito bowl could have been better with respect to presentation. Perhaps tasted decent! Also, we cannot compare this with other places which serve same stuff because of the pocket friendly price factor. At last, we tried Banana Nutella Waffles, which was excellent without second thought. Overall, it's a decent place and must visit. Please note, the dishes I tried was complimentary and this review is completely based on...
Read moreCafe Aira is small, budget friendly place & has decent ambience.
They serve quick bites, wraps, pizza pockets, momos, desserts & beverages.
All the items served here are vegetarian.
We ordered Chimichanga, Burrito Bowl, Nutella waffle & Blue Curacao.
We were disappointed with food presentation.
Chimichanga is a burrito which is deep-fried. But we observed that the tortilla was not perfectly fried. It's filled with black beans, veggies & cheese topped with in-house sauce & mayonnaise. The taste was on an average note & can be seriously improved.
Burrito bowl consists of rice, black beans, tomatoes, onions, olives, jalapeno & sour cream. The taste was good & the portion size was sufficient.
Nutella waffle was delicious, it was served with scoop of icecream, chocolate sauce & sufficient spread of nutella.
Blue Curacao was not good as expected, as the flavor was too overpowering.
The owner is friendly & polite. The place is neat & clean. They encourages self service.
We truly felt the prices did not justify the food.
Two wheeler parking is easily available & four wheeler parking can be an issue as the cafe is on the main road.

Read moreWe had been to this cafe called Cafe Aira over the weekend. It's a very tiny place but has been transformed so artistically. First glance seemed so good. We ordered Jalapeno poppers for starters, Pasta Alfredo for mains, Virgin Mojito & Green apple soda and Nutella waffles in the dessert section. Need to say all of it was worth ordering. Very well presented and with ease. You feel a homely atmosphere in there and find decent crowd ranging from young kids, friends and even family. There was a staff shortage but it was well managed by the cafe owner Roopa. She is humble and is open to feedback. Great job Cafe Aira. We had a great time with Rain and dusky evening with pasta, jalapeno, Nutella waffles with green apple. It was...
