Chianti in Bellandur has a deserted air most of the time - in stark contrast to Third Wave Coffee Roasters located opposite. It was only a couple of weeks ago that I discovered that it was very much in operation and had great reviews. We dropped in for lunch one day and were pleasantly surprised at the food on offer. Chianti provides you with the ingredients and a self help guide to make your own Bruschetta. We started our meal feeling very self-satisfied with our efforts at Bruschetta making and it didn't taste bad either! Chianti also gives you a free bread basket to accompany your meal. The breads were warm, soft and fragrant and paired with some lovely herbed butter. Our Entrée or Antipasti, as the Italians like to call it, consisted of Crostini Con Carne or in layman's language, Toast topped with Ricotta Cheese and Parma Ham. Quite delicious. We followed this up with a Pasta - Fettuccine Siciliana, to be precise, which translates to Fettuccine with garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, red chillies and basil in a tomato sauce with chicken. It was so-so. The sauce was quite excessive and the Italian herbs were a bit overpowering. Next on our plate was the Braciole Di Maiale Alla Griglia or the Grilled Pork Chops with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables in a red wine jus. It was all cooked to perfection. My only complaint if at all, was that the meat tasted a trifle old. The grand finale or the Dolce was the Tiramisu which was out of the world! I would recommend Chianti if you are keen on a flavourful and filling...

So happy about Chianti opening so close to home. Went there for dinner and started with their Crosstini with Parm Ham and Chicken. Before the order came in, they got us this plate with assortments to "Make your own Bruschetta" and that was a fun addition to the evening. The Crosstini was delicious to say the least. The combination of Parm Ham and Chicken was simple amazing and with 2 slices each for one person, that was a good portion. Their iced teas are one of the best as it's clear they're not just those over sweetened pour the mix from the bottle types. For the mains, we ordered Fettuccini with Prosciutto and Mushrooms in white cream sauce and Pork Chops in Cranberry Sauce with Pea Puree, Honeyed Carrots and Polenta. These are fine dining quality in terms of presentation, taste and the quality of ingredients. I loved the pasta and my fiance couldn't stop gorging on the creamy polenta and the chops done so well. The meat was cooked just right with it falling off the bones which is my opinion are the right kind of chops. For the dessert, we had a Tiramisu which was accompanied with an almond biscotti and it's clearly one of the best tiramisu I've eaten. It had this coffee later that balanced out the sweetness and that's my favorite kind of dessert. Something that doesn't leave my mouth overly sweet.

The service was outstanding. Will definitely go there again. Perfect for those...

We visited Chianti, Bellandur for a team dinner in May 2022. The ambiance is quite good. We were around 18 people. The experience we had was a mix of good and bad. When we arrived we came to know that even though valet parking was available, they are understaffed, so I went ahead to park myself. There is marked parking space for Chianti so that was not too bad. While ordering food, we had taken 3 tables. The issue here was only one waiter was trying to serve all the three tables and was getting overwhelmed. We asked the few others who were not taking orders if they could help him but they said that all orders will be taken by a single person. This could be handled better would give a better experience to the staff as well as customers. We tried the sea food platter, chicken platter, non veg platter , wines, and mocktails. The wines were quite good but some mocktails were not. The Virgin pinacolada had very little pineapple flavour and was mostly coconut cream. The mojitos were okay. For mains we tried a few pizzas and pasta and they were all good. The tiramisu dessert was excellent. The wait time was acceptable for food but the drinks were taking quite some time to be served. The washrooms also needed maintenance. The men's washroom flush was continuously leaking. Overall, it was a positive experience but there are few aspects which can be improved

Overall- 4.5 Food- The food was great in taste with authentic Italian taste. We ordered a Veg loaded pizza which was good with proper base and correctly cooked cheese and vegies. Please don't expect a indian style pizze with herbs and spice flavour. We also ordered cream of mushroom soup, Lamb ribs (very nicely cooked) The gave us 2 on the house items (thank you for the good gesture). The breads were in house made and very soft and good is texture too. Ambience - The place has ample seating space and sufficient open space to not make it over crowded. The seating and table space are perfect. Staff, Service and Behaviour: The staff were very good and the service was quick. They made sure that we had something or the other always on the table and also not to over crowd the table with all kinds of food. Bahadur attended us and was very polite. He helped in suggesting food to order. Pricing : It was decently priced at about 2k for 2. They justify it for the food quality and ambience. We ordered 5 drinks, 1 lamb chops, a soup, 2 veg dishes and the bill was around 5k and after discount 3.5k Overall a good experience and a place that can visited once a month.
