Dev Sagar, VV Puram - Review Dev Sagar in VV Puram is a delightful spot for food lovers, offering a variety of unique and flavorful dishes. My visit was truly enjoyable, with each dish leaving a lasting impression. Rasmalai Chaat: This was the highlight of my visit! The Rasmalai Chaat is a fusion dish that beautifully balances sweet and spicy flavors. Soft and creamy rasmalai is topped with tangy chutneys, crispy sev, and a hint of spice, creating an explosion of flavors and textures in every bite. It’s a unique twist that combines the best of dessert and chaat, making it a must-try for anyone visiting Dev Sagar. Rasmalai: The rasmalai here is equally impressive. The texture is perfectly soft and spongy, soaked in rich, creamy, and slightly sweetened milk that’s flavored with cardamom. Garnished with nuts, it melts in your mouth and is an absolute treat for those with a sweet tooth. Other Dishes: I also tried the Dabeli and Sev Puri, which were both very tasty. The Dabeli was packed with flavorful stuffing and topped with crunchy peanuts and pomegranate, while the Sev Puri had the perfect mix of crispy puris, tangy chutneys, and fresh toppings. Overall Experience: Dev Sagar is a must-visit for chaat and dessert lovers. The creativity and quality of the food make it stand out, and the Rasmalai Chaat is an experience you shouldn’t miss. A great place to enjoy unique flavors in VV Puram!

BEST FOR: Pao Bhaji, Vada Pao, Tawa Pulao, Dabeli ALSO SERVES Sweets – Rasmalai, Gulab Jamun, Carrot Halwa, Jalebi ADDRESS VV Puram Old Market Road, Visveswarapuram, Shankarapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560004, India LANDMARKS A shop with a dark-brown board with "Dev Sagar" written in big, bold letters, on the right side of Old Market Road, VV Puram. DESCRIPTION Dev Sagar in VV Puram serves Mumbai street food – Pao Bhaji, Vada Pao, Tawa Pulao and Dabeli. It might be one of the only shops in Bangalore to serve Dabeli. They also have sweets such as Rasmalai, Gulab Jamun etc. SPECIAL INFORMATION: Part of the VV Puram Street Food Trail. The jalebis seemed to be pre-prepared. Hot ones are definitely yummier. You can get them at Shri Vasavi Chatnis (first outlet on the street). OTHER INFORMATION Seating: Unavailable Timing: 5 PM to 10:30 PM

I recently visited Dev Sagar at VV Puram Food Street, and with the rainy weather, nothing could beat the comfort of garam garam vada pav and pav bhaji. This stall offers a mix of quick bites from Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata, so I went straight for the "Pav Mumbai Se" section. The pav bhaji was a standout – soft pav, and the bhaji had just the right balance of tangy and buttery flavors, making it absolutely delicious. The vada pav was equally impressive, with a hot, crispy vada nestled in a dry pav, topped off with a fried mirchi on the side – an authentic bite for sure. However, their dabeli didn’t quite hit the mark for me. While it was fresh, the taste leaned a bit too much on the sweeter side. Overall, a solid spot for classic Mumbai street food, with some hits and a slight miss. Definitely worth checking out!
