During a recent morning walk at Cubbon Park, I was looking for a nearby place to grab a quick and fulfilling South Indian breakfast. I came across Bangalore Thindies, a modest roadside eatery located within a kilometre from the park. The establishment is easily accessible by foot, though parking could be a concern for those arriving by vehicle, as space is limited in the surrounding area.

The service at Bangalore Thindies was prompt and efficient. Orders were taken and served quickly, making it an ideal choice for individuals looking to eat on the go or in a hurry. The place operates in a typical self-service manner, which is common for such joints in Bengaluru.

I sampled a variety of items including the Butter Masala Dosa, Idli, Wada, Khara Bath, and a cup of Filter Coffee. While the food was served hot and fresh, the taste largely resembled that of a standard Udupi-style restaurant. It was consistent, but not particularly distinctive. Among the items, the dosa and idli were well-prepared, but the sambar was overly sweet, which did not suit my personal taste preference. It lacked the balance and spice that one typically expects from a South Indian sambar.

In terms of cleanliness, the area appeared well-maintained for a roadside joint, and the staff were attentive to the needs of the customers. There is limited seating available, which may be a constraint during peak hours.

Overall, Bangalore Thindies is a decent option for those seeking a quick and economical breakfast near Cubbon Park. While the food may not offer a unique culinary experience, the efficiency of service and the convenient location make it a practical choice for morning commuters, walkers, and casual visitors...

Dosa ! Dosa! Dosa ! I love Dosa I can't avoid !!

We got an opportunity to indulge in some of the mouth watering dishes from Bangalore Thindies, Infantry Road during my stay in Cubbon Park. Bangalore Thindies is a small eatery shop located on the roadside of Infantry road. It functions in the early morning at around 8 am. We were here on a Sunday morning to check out their breakfast items after seeing some good online reviews.

Place:

There is no seating arrangement and one has to stand along the shop to have their food. They have placed few tables so that we can utilize them for having food.

Customer Service:

It is self-service and will not take long to receive your order. The majority of items, including vada, will be ready in the morning. Food items are served on paper plates and cups that are disposable.

What we ordered here:

We ordered their Vada, Butter Masala Dosa and Coffee. All the ordered dishes were delectable and amazing. Vada was crispy and served freshly. Their filter coffee too was a good refresher. Butter Masala Dosa was also top notch. The accompaniments served were sambar and chutney. Chutney too tasted amazing.

Cost Factor:

The price was reasonable and we paid around Rs 150 for 2 persons.

Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience and look forward...

Dear All, Before placing the order i have definitely gone through the review and since its closer to my office i decided to order the butter masala dosa with great expectation as i was super hungry. Portion was so little that it made me surprise why did you even put that aloo masala inside that poor dosa?? I literally question myself dear Aloo why did you come please vanish right away. We should not make fun of food but trust me i laughed at myself for keeping such a huge expectation. Butter dosa was without butter in it,where did you put that butter ? I literally smelled dosa to check my nostrils power , i couldnt sense it. Swiggy customer care doesn't resolved problems instead of solving as a bribe provide refund of 22 RS. Lol Whoever reading this review including owner of the Bangalore Thindies. This is not just a feedback but sentiments of the person who order food with great expectation that to before starting his/her day.

Kindly put your heart and soul in ur food because someone at other side keep checking the swiggy app to track the food with the expectation that Khana accha hoga.

Thanks for...

Another breakfast place which is worth a try. It is a small roadside outlet, they have selected breakfast items on the menu and they excel in it. We ordered: Pudi Masale Dosae- It was a crispy Dosa with evenly sprinkled pudi on top and dripping with Ghee. We loved their chutney as it was thick in consistency and not too spicy! Masala Vada- it was also crisp, golden brown and soft inside. Vada is enjoyed the best when it is dipped in sambar. Khara Bath- We are fond of Khara bath and here it was pretty good. Not too spicy or tangy, it was served hot along with chutney. Bottom-line is we loved the place as much as the food and they serve everything in disposable Arecanut leaf plates and sambar/chutney in paper cups. Points to remember: - There is no seating area/ chairs - There is no parking space so park your vehicles responsibly without hindering the traffic - It is crowded during mornings so plan your visit accordingly #BurpOutLoudly
