I had been to old Imperial even befor the existence of Empire hotel on Residency Road and expected this to be on the same standards of taste when it opened. At first it was really good and came close to matching the parent hotel's taste but of late it has lost that charm in taste and also service. Last time I ordered a pepper chicken and the meat was bad. It smelt very bad and I had to return and order something else but the waiter insisted me to have another pepper chicken only in exchange. I made him understand that I literally lost the appetite for it but he didn't listen. He then later came and told that pepper chicken was not available, I can have something else. This is ridiculous, especially in a hotel you love to dine. In another incident I had some clients waiting for me upstairs and we sat there starting with tea. After that as we spoke for some time we wanted to order and the waiter told that they are closing the upper section so we have to go sit down. We packed our baggages, laptops, books and had to go down. I told the manager that never make someone get up from the table no matter what because it is bad manners towards guests. He didn't care and tried to explain to me the closing time of upper section. I told I will write this in the review, he can read it. He didn't care. I hope this review makes them understand what a customer feedback really means. I had given them four stars previously which I'm reducing to two now. I hope they try to make it five stars when I visit again. Which I will...

Read moreI had dinner with my family today to celebrate my brother-in-law's anniversary. I recommended this restaurant as I have been a loyal customer for a long time.
Initially, I needed to revise my review from six years ago because Google did not permit me to submit a new one with the same rating.
Today, I had a disappointing experience with the "Mutton Bheja Fry," and I assure you, I am not exaggerating my feelings nor am I reluctant to share this. We ordered food totaling over 4000 rupees, and among all the dishes, the Mutton Bheja was either not fresh or spoiled. We attempted to return it immediately after tasting it, but the waiter took it back to the kitchen and returned it, claiming we had altered the spices. However, it was inedible.
When we were settling the bill, we communicated our concerns to the manager and the management team. They presented the meat purchase invoice, which did not match the unpleasant and spoiled taste of the dish. Despite our repeated requests and references to our long-standing history as honest customers, they refused to acknowledge the issue and charged us for the spoiled food that was served.
I am including both my six-year-old positive review and today's bill, which should serve as a lesson to the hotel management if they genuinely care about...
